My husband and I were attending a wedding in Playa but had the opportunity to escape to Isla for the night and there was no question of where to stay LOLOS. We stayed in the blue room off the courtyard, it is a very spacious room with the deepest bathtub we have ever seen. There is also a outdoor shower... More

My husband and I like to find unique and charming places to stay when we travel. Lolo Lorena's is just that! We stayed in the treehouse with our four year old daughter and loved the experience. All of Lolo's rooms are like works of art. They feature detailed one of a kind tile work, beautiful colors and wonderful use of... More

Lolo's bed and breakfast is truly an experience. If you're the kind of traveler that's looking for an artificial Americanized version of a hotel, this is not the place for you. On the other hand if you're the kind of traveler that wants to experience the local culture and people, you can't get much better than this. Lolo is literally... More

Looking for a unique experience, I did not wish to stay in "just a hotel" while visiting Isla Mujeres. I willingly picked up from one hotel (which was pretty generic, as a hotel) and moved to Lolo's place. I very much felt "at home" while I also made myself "at home" on the island and in its culture. I took... More

Staying at Lolo Lorena's was definitely a highlight of my vacation this year. Last year was my first time staying at Lolo's bed and breakfast ( been there for dinner several times ) and it was on the top of my list for this year's visit. This little gem is one of a kind and as my title says, it... More

Subject : Let the magic happen! A stay at Lolo Lorena's is an EXPERIENCE. We loved the original, authentic feel of the space and we came to appreciated the thoughtful touches both in the design of the rooms and common area. We stayed in the Blue room and loved the open air shower. We couldn't wait to see what Lolo... More

Great place, everyone, Lolo and staff made us feel like family. Of all the years I've stayed on Isla, Lolo's has the best bed with great linens! Everyone was so helpful, bringing us fresh towels when we needed them, extra soap, coffee, water. We had a great outdoor kitchen, with coffee pot, dishes, pots and pans. If we needed something... My boyfriend and I stayed here in early January and had the most wonderful time (we never wanted to leave!). Although we didn't get a chance to meet Lolo upon arrival (she had gotten into an accident the day prior) we were greeted by Kate and Alanna who were both fun and welcoming hosts. We were lucky enough to get... More
