We stayed three nights at Hotel La Joya in May of 2012, and I have meant to write a review ever since. Looking at photos here on TripAdvisor has made me homesick for this amazing little hotel and beautiful Isla Mujeres. Eduardo welcomed us with a cold drink and led us to Room 1, where we found clean and comfortable... More

At first I thought I would not like it here bc of being away from town but realized it's a great place. It's literally like a Spanish or miditeranean villa. It's quiet and serene. It's also where we experienced the best meal in Isla. Juan is a very good chef. He does a good job with fish and ceviche. I... More

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel La Joya !! Eduardo, the manager, works hard at making your stay the best. The hotel is very small, the rooms are comfortable and modern. The breakfast in the morning is served either in the restaurant or on your private veranda. The view is breath-taking. Our room (Room 7) had a view of the... More

Two couples dined here near the pool. We ordered while the sun was in our eyes and the food came about an hour later. Two of us had tortillas, one a steak for $200 pesos and chicken. The tortillas were ok, not great but were warm. The steak and chicken were room temperature. Our friend told the waiter his steak... More

Very well kept grounds, incredibly gracious hosts, a great way to wrap up our Islay stay. This hotel is on the quiet end of the island, which is great for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Playa Norte.

I visited this place in 2012- i can' t choose this date anymore. without a car, taxi or a golfcar it is far away from the Center (10-15 minutes). but its a wunderful place to stay and relax. I enjoyed my stay there a lot. My room was clean, hot shower and with a kingsize bed. air con oder fan... More

We stayed here for six nights and absolutely loved it. Following advice I'd read on Trip Advisor we booked Room #1 - it is round - and it was one of the best rooms we've ever had in Mexico. The deck with thatched roof and awesome view was the perfect place to enjoy breakfast and sunset drinks. The bed was... More

My sister, adult daughter and I stayed for 3 nights at Hotel La Joya, then stayed an additional 6 nights in Cancun. It was the first trip to Mexico for all three of us and while Cancun was okay, the three of us agreed that the next time we go, we will spend the entire time on the island and... More

We stayed at La Joya for 2 nights. The manager was very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The hotel is located a little way from the main town and there isn't much else near by, but this isn't too much of an issue if you rent a golf cart or use taxis. The hotel itself was clean and has... My wife visited Cancun 20 years ago and always wanted to see the Isla Mujeres. We took the opportunity and we were not disappointed. The la Joya was an excellent base to experience the island. Small with 11 rooms but charming and what a view, a panorama shot of Cancun across the causeway. The rooms were clean and comfortable, a... More
