Called and made a reservation for my family the day before (me, pregnant wife, and 18 month old daughter). When we arrived, we were told by the desk clerk that we were too many for our full size room (king sized bed, separate bath), and that she would not let me speak to the manager or owner. I camped out... More

This hotel is located in a good spot...easy to get to bars/restaurants/playa norte, etc. Had a few problems with the room though. The A/C was so loud that it was unusable...but was quickly repaired once the hotel was notified. The shower, however, was a different story. The bathroom itself was super tiny, which I could deal with given the rate.... More

Having a nightmare experience in a different hotel, this one is perfect. The room is sweet and colorful, with large comfy bed, clean bathroom (fully functional) and little nice balcony. The location is great! The best thing about it, the price, I got so much less paying double in different places. Highly recommended.

the hotel was nice and clean and the people were very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again ,the only down side to it it is right downtown and we like to be in a quiet area . But it is very close to a lot of things downtown .

We loved our stay at the Francis Arlene. There's a pretty interior garden and our room on the 2nd floor was comfortable and clean with good air-conditioning. The stained glass windows throughout the hotel are fantastic. The location is convenient to north beach and downtown. The hotel is owned and run by a lovely family and we highly recommend it.

Francis Arlene was the perfect stay for us! First of all, it's important to know this is not a resort. If your looking for a 5 star all inclusive resort this is not it. But we don't like resorts so this was perfect for us. This hotel is beautiful with so much character plus the staff is so kind and... More

I found this hotel to be very conveniently located for what we wanted to do - walk to the beach (2-10 minutes depending on where you want to go) , shop and eat (1 minute), etc. It is not a beach front resort (which are $150US/night and up from there), but it is very clean, safe and most of all,... Our room at the Frances Arlene was alright, except for the toilet that didn't want to flush. I told the font desk; they said it was fixed, but it wasn't any better. Location is so-so. Two LOUD nightclubs in the area forced us to sleep with windows closed and earplugs. We departed two days early so we could get some... More

Hotel is located one block away from the main Hidalgo street and 5min walk from the city's beach Playa Norte. Front desk people Daisy and Elizabeth are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic, clean and comfortable. It is located on a quiet street with many places to eat. Wi-fi is slow sometimes. This is a perfect place for a... More

Positives, nice big bed, powerful fan (didn't need air con), good location, nice cleaner. Negatives, sheets stained and towels stained - would at least expect clean linen. Reception staff hardly speak. Probably wouldn't stay again.
