We stayed here for a week and had our wedding and reception here. We stayed in the castle section. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful. There were about 40 wedding guests and almost all stayed here in various sections. The only problem I heard was my cousin had a hole in a window screen and... More

I just returned from Isla Mujeres after spending two nights at this hotel. The room was grundgey with the loudest air conditioner I've ever heard. I turned it off and used the ceiling fan. The room did have a nice balcony with a view of the beach. We actually got to meet other guests while sitting on the open interconnected... More

Horrible place!! Our room was covered in mold! All along the celing and all over the lamp shade! Rusty air conditioners that made more noise than the trashy music coming from the worst beach resturant I have ever been too! The service was beyond slow and the food was worse than carnival food. Breakfast included? Ya....coffee juice and toast...hope u... More

We were so loooking forward to staying here, having booked on Booking.com and seen the lovely photographs but we were so disappointed. On the plus side the setting is good with direct access to the beach from a pretty garden BUT Our room was clean but dingy with only 2 small windows about a foot down from the ceiling and... More

You can find MUCH better deals elsewhere, without the layers of dirt, black mold and more black mold, damp beds, dirty sheets, noisy A/C, broken fixtures, rusted refrigerators, and bad-bad customer service. Save your money.

Notes Balance relationships with efficiency Don't say no Stayed at Cabana Maria Del Mar Feb. 2015 expressly for the proximity to North Beach. I read the reviews, but thought those reviewers were just nit-picky. They were not. This place charges way too much for what you get. Here are my tips for surviving this hotel. 1. Bring ear plugs to... More

...very expensive for what it is....smelly room, appliances in such poor condition, opaque screen window that blocked the view:you had to go on the balcony to see the view but there's such a lack of privacy that you could not even enjoy it...only 4 "mattresses" around the so called pool in such poor state, all cracked up(the mattresses),it's a shame..... THERE IS NO... More

My husband and I are frequent visitors to Isla Mujeres...this was our first time staying here. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, air conditioner worked well, little refrigerator was convenient. Great location on Playa Norte. Our room was in the newer section across from lobby and courtyard..we didn't use the pool but looked clean but small. Courtyard was well... More

This was the third and final leg of our recent vacation. While the room was clean it was stark, all white room, no decorations. For the price we paid it was a pretty basic room. It had been some time since I had visited Buho's there beach bar/restaurant. When we checked in my wife and I decided to grab some... More

Don't believe everything you read. We found that our room #3 was awesome!! Very clean, and everything you need is there eg: beer fridge, hair dryer from the front desk and steps from the beach. Walking distance to the little town but loved the golf carts. Yes there is a bit of mold on the outside window, but it is... More
