My husband and I were thrilled with our recent experience at the Rocamar. Experienced travellers in Mexico, this was our first trip to Isla Mujeres. As stated in other reviews, the Rocamar is easily found just a few blocks straight up from the ferry pier. It is conveniently located near Hidalgo Street, a pedestrian-only street running through the town, on... More

PROS Best balcony view ever, (room13), looks straight out on to the sea, crashing waves to wake up to and fall asleep to. Hammock to string on balcony too. Comfortable treble bed, relaxing basket chair, plenty of space. Good temperatures, cool air con, hot shower. Things you want in your room, TV, safe deposit box, coffee maker, alarm clock, mini... I'll start with the fact that the staff was great. Very polite and helpful. Except the manager, she's not pleasant. Our room had horrible air conditioning and sometimes it wasn't the much needed break from the heat outside. The pool wasn't filled the first 2 days of our stay. When filled it was dusty from the construction going on outside... More

Currently staying here for a week. This is not a five star resort but for the money is a pretty good deal. Pros - The best part of staying here is the view. It is amazing. It is walking distance (In a couple minutes) from anything you need. Grocery store, liquor store, Hidalgo st, beaches, etc. the rooms are plain but... More

We were evacuated due to the storm. we were dumped in cancun without another reservation. i had to pay another hotel for that night. the hotel refused to give a refund for the night we didn't stay there. The hotel next to rocamar accommodated its guest in another hotel and provided a transportation. I booked thru expedia and they denied... More

This hotel was a well priced gem in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been thus far in my life! This small, family run hotel had really beautiful rooms so close to the Caribbean, the sound with the sliding door open was almost deafening (and I say this is a good way!) The hotel is easy walking distance... More

This was my first visit to Isla that was not at an all inclusive resort. We were pleasantly surprised by this little gem located on the Malecon walkway just 4 blocks up from the ferry terminal. The hotel is clean and kept up nicely. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. You get a cozy bed, and a couple of... More

We wanted to stay near North Beach and hildago which is the islands main strip. It was close to all the festivities but still quiet. It has a great walking trail and amazing views! I recommend the top floor! Room was always cleaned and had no problems with anything. We would definitely stay there again!

We stayed here for a few days and the hotel did not disappoint. The rooms are clean and have a great view! They are very affordable and we were able to get a king bed room on the top floor for around $60 a night. Best part is you can wake up hearing the waves crashing and you can lay... More
