I've just spent 1 night there. The room was clean, the mattress was good, except for the pillow, wifi ok and the location awesome. They took care of my suitcases while I strolling around. The negative point was the hot water (it works only for 2 minutes and then it becomes cold).

First of all, this place was under construction in November 2014, so be warned that you will not sleep after 6AM; workers were chatting loudly around our window, making sure we couldn't get those few precious hours of sleep in the morning. This only highlights the main problem of Xbulu Ha: it's noisy and we always had the impression we... More

I apologize for the noise. It is true that the hotel has been remodeling since September 2014. We closed the hotel for one month to make the main work. The workers never ever have started working at 6:00 AM. When we need to make noise, we wait until noon or when all the guests have left early from the hotel.... More

This is the perfect place to lay your head after a long day exploring Isla Mujeres. Juan Carlos and the rest of the staff are very accommodating. The rooms are small, but very clean. We've stayed at other properties on the island, but feel this gem met all of needs at a very good price. We will definitely stay here... More

Trying to support the local economy (difficult to do it in the Mayan Riviera) we booked a junior suite at this hotel for 4 nights. Had I known that they were kitchen utensils downstairs available to the guests, I'd have book just a room. We took a peak and they are also very spacious. Our room included a kitchenette which... We stayed 6 nights on the 2nd floor, rooms 1,2 &3! We had no complaints. Rooms were small but clean. Wifi worked fine. Juan Carlos was as helpful as could be. You could see the Caribbean from 1 and hotel was close enough to walk anywhere in centro!!

stayed here with my husband a couple years ago and it was a lovely experience. the hotel was clean and well maintained. the staff was very friendly & accommodating. the island itself is small so everything in the heart of the city is within walking distance. the hotel was a few blocks away from the beach...make sure to borrow beach... Very noisy by the talking (or should I say, shouting, of the people who run it and their families). No consideration whatsoever for people who might want to sleep in. Our room on the ground floor was rather gloomy and crummy, right next to an office that has nothing to do with the hostel..weird...The reception staff is friendly and helpful... More

I am sorry for your experience. Xbulu-Ha hotel is a familiar hotel and I can not deny accommodation to family guest. On July the hotel was almost full and of course, more persons walk on any of the corridor, not matter what floor. About the room features, I respect your opinion. Thanks More

We have been staying at Xbulu-Ha Hotel for the last five years. From the first day of our first stay this place has felt like home away from home. Gabriel the owner manager has provided the best service we have ever had at any hotel. He goes well out of his way to ensure that his guests are comfortable. Gabriel's... More

I have found this to be a very friendly and reliable place to stay. Whenever I return to the Island I make it a point to stay here. It is a low to moderately priced Hotel with very friendly staff who try hard to satisfy any reasonable demand. The owner of the business, Gabriel, is a true gentleman who deals... More

We are avid scuba divers so we tend to put our money into the diving and go with budget lodgings. That said, budget-priced Hotel Xbulu-Ha is a cut or two above the usual BDA (basic diver accommodations). It is safe and conveniently located right around the corner from two of the islands' best dive operators. The rooms are clean, simply... More
