The soggy peso is a great place to hang out and get some drinks! The margaritas are fantastic!! The food (especially the ribs) were delicious. It's quaint and friendly! There's always a good time at the Soggy Peso!

We recently visited Isla Mujeres and always made time to visit The Soggy Peso. Freddy and Yo Yo are wonderful and always have a smile. We were greeted by them after we arrived our first day with hugs and laughs. The margaritas and bloody Mary's are to die for. One afternoon we had the shrimp tacos and they were just... More

We stayed at the Soggy Peso March 1-5th, what a great time we had. The rooms are a hidden gem of the island. Of course most people know of the Soggy Peso as the best palapa bar with great food and the best BBQ ever on Sundays. The rooms are just as wonderful. Mal and Sally are fabulous hosts and... More

When we first stopped we were on golf carts with friends, and thought it was time for a drink stop. We pulled in and from the front it was like really are you sure there is a bar here. They were people leaving on there golf carts when we arrived and said yes there is a bar and its great.... More

Had another great time on our visit to the island and the Soggy Peso last week. We always try to visit the island to visit our friends the Berge’s on Wednesday so we can hit the Soggy Peso for hot wings on Wednesday afternoon (different daily specials every day)!! Once again the wings were grilled perfectly and the dipping sauce... More

My husband and I love eating lunch and/or having drinks here while on vacation. The atmosphere is great and the bartenders are very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent. The shrimp ceviche is my favorite. My husband also tried their crispy tacos and loved them, too. We will definitely be back!

I think I have found my place on the planet. A palapa thatched hut, with a central bar. 15 or so stools surround it, but get in early if you want to grab one. This place has regulars. A cool older crowd who like a drink or two. To one side a small plunge pool, to the other a small... More

This became our new favorite spot on the island after just our first visit. The guys who work there are funny, ornery, and friendly. They remember your names and what you drink. The food is outstanding. No need to scratch your head looking at a menu full of choices, here is a different special each night. And everyone has their... More

We finally made it to the Soggy Peso on our day trip to Isla Mujeres. It was our first and final stop of a great day on the island. We enjoyed this neat little bar tucked behind a building. The bartender was very warm and friendly and fun to talk with. Next year we will spending a week on the... More

we ran into a local that said Mondays were the best day to go.....and they were right as the only think on the menu was Lobster Tacos....delicious! Not a negative for our group, but I will warn anyone that goes to be careful with their home made 'special' margarita cocktail. I have no idea what went into the "mix" but... More
