We rented Palapas Sam and Lee for our extended family. The rooms were not very clean, the dishes were dirty, and there were cockroaches. The grounds were littered with trash, broken bottles, old tools, etc. We had to ask for everything that we needed ( such as water, towels, sheets, etc.) as the caretakers never came to us. Sweet little cottages on the side of the island that faces Cancun. Clean, airy, and a good value. My husband and I spent 10 days this year and I spent a week with my sister last year. I highly recommend this property if you want to stay out of town. Julie F Dover NH more

We recently stayed at Villa Makax townhomes which are located behind the naval base on Avenue Juarez. The location is excellent. It is a very quiet area and an easy 5-10 minute walk into town.
