If you are the type of person that does not want a watered down experience, this place is perfection! You get to bypass all the sales pitches, shuttle rip offs and annoyance at the airport. You just walk across the street and check in. (IMPORTANT: I never once heard any noise from the airport. It is quiet and peaceful). After... more

Wow, what can I say that hasn't been said on these reviews! We stayed just 2 nights the first week of June but it was the best ever! Dan is a gracious host and his tips and knowledge about Cozumel are wonderful! We were the only ones at the hotel for the two days so it was nice to have... more

While booking I had an emergency and had to cancel my original trip. Dan was more than helpful and accommodated me fairly with my re-booking. Once we finally had our trip planned Dan was also helpful in directions to his hotel. It is easy to find and if you tell everybody that hassles you at the airport where you are... more

Our family of five stayed at Casita de Maya from 04/18-04/21 and we absolutely loved it. We rented three casitas and all were clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Casita is conveniently located across the street from the airport and next to a car rental company. Dan the owner is a great host, he provided a lot of information about the... more

Just got back from Casita and it was awesome. We stayed there for 3 days and then went to a all inclusive in playa and spent about $1700 at a Palace resort. The only thing I could think about was wow, im spending 3 times what I spent at Casita and its not 3 times better. I will never do... more

We just returned from a 5 night stay at Casita de Maya. Just as all the reviews say, Dan is very personable, welcoming and helpful. We had the entire place to ourselves and loved it! The pool and outside lounge area are beautifully lit in the evening. It's the perfect setting for ending a long day at the beach. I... more

We stayed at the Casita de Maya for 3 nights. We wish our stay was longer. We had such a wonderful stay. The owner, Dan, was so helpful, as everyone on this review has already said. He recommended wonderful restaurants that are in the nearby residential area. We enjoyed walking around the area at night to restaurants (though I was... more

Casita De Maya Hotel “IT’S-ALL-GOOD” My wife and I were at Casita De Maya for 11 nights from Feb 23rd-March 6th. We had a wonderful time staying at Casita De Maya, and Highly Recommend it. It’s a Great Place for any traveler looking for a reasonably priced local experience, something other than the same old All Inclusive Resort Hotels. Casita... more

We had an incredible stay! After reading raving reviews of Casita de Maya & Dan, we were wondering how this place could live up to our expectation. It did not just meet our expectation, it clearly exceeded any notions we might have had! Dan is more than a host and it was just a pleasure to stay in his small,... more

I read all these reviews and they were right - it's a place you want to come back to. It is a nice, clean and thoughtfully decorated and kept hotel. It feels welcoming and warm. The pool is nice and private. It's a 5 minute walk, across a grassy patch from the airport - you can see the orange walls... more
