We went with four other friends and had a great time...but then again we have fun in a cabin in the woods with no electricity, indoor plumbing or running water. The staff was friendly (special kudos to Luis at the pool bar and Enrique and Mario at the outdoor restaurant bar and restaurant). The food was good, but not exceptional... More

This is the second time we stayed at Melia Cozumel. The first time was 2009. We had an awesome, relaxing vacation. The positives were the beach, the wait staff, and the food. The negatives were that the room wasn't ready at 3:00. Not a huge deal but, hey, they should let us know we can check out later to make... More

Originally, we went to Cozumel for the diving. We were both sick all week (sinus/cold thing that we had before we left) which meant no diving. If diving is what you are going for, you may want to consider something in the south end. It worked out for us, as the Melia is a short cab ride to San Migel.... More

One of their mottos " Experience a lifetime of an Extraordinary vacation, just like this one" and this is exactly what we experienced. Just came back on Jan 21st from a one week AI vacation and it was fantastic at the resort. Here are a few positive highlights of the vacation that we observed: 1) Checkin: Folks at the checkin... Just came back from a pleasure trip at Cozumel. This was the second time I attended the destination for pleasure as well as to enjoy some scuba diving. GOOD: Great staff, Great alcohol selection beyond the local drinks. Buffet food was good for 6 out of the 7 nights. Breakfast were also great. Diving agency is one of the most... More

Me and my wife vacationed here from the 11th to the 19th. We were suppose to leave on the 18th at 11 in the moring but due to a storm our flight was delayed 12 hours, bonus happened to be the nicest day and they let us keep our room at no extra charge until 10:30 pm. The weather was... More

The food, service and amenities are great. Unfortunately if you stay in the garden view rooms you have very poor WiFi and it has a horrible noise on the balcony. Also there is no shuttle service to town and the taxi drivers are very sketchy. Over it was ok. More

We just got back from a week at the Melia.,Jan 9-16th. I have to say that the hotel is not as bad as everyone says. I was pleased with how friendly the staff was. The drinks were great and if you want an extra shot just ask, no problem! The rooms were super clean every day and our fridge was... More
