They'll keep calling you every morning until you take the time share presentation. They closed the restaurant one night and left no option to eat at an all inclusive. They made a reservation down the street at a $70 lobster place that we had to pay. The cab was $16 for two for 3 blocks in a van that was... More

We had a really fun time here at the Melia. Food: The food at the buffet was hit or miss, but the stuff from the grill was great. They usually have about 6 types of meat to choose from, and cook it right in front of you! They could use more chocolate in the desserts. They also have a LOT... More

Broken elevators, kid's pool closes while the sun is still up, rude staff, horrible food, dirty ocean water (looks more like a river), crabs everywhere, nasty smell in stairwell, etc... The only highlights to our stay at this hotel was a staff member by the name of Roger and the activities director. I am actually quite shocked by all of... More

After reading all of the reviews on Trip Advisor, I was optimistic that while the stay wouldn't be perfect, it would still be a great, getaway. There were several things that ruined my optimism right off the bat. When we checked in, we were told there were no rooms available in the Tower to upgrade. This is lesson #1. Don't... More

We just returned from the Melia Cozumel, and we had the very best time! Our room was an oceanfront room with jacuzzi. We could walk out and find beach chairs right in front of our room any time of day. Lilli, William, Felipe, and the rest of the Melia staff were always so helpful, kind, and fun! The resort is... We visited The Melia for the 7th time with my family....... The staff was great and we had a great trip, I spent a lot of time with the kids, 15 and 13 yrs old boys, this allowed me to be able to enjoy Hilario at the Beach Bar and at the Adult Pool Bar. He was an excellent representative... More

This Hotel was a huge disappointment to us. We arrived on the 19th along with 25 of our friends and their friends and our A/C was out. After repeatedly calling and going downstairs at 8 pm that night –mind you we arrived at 3 pm…they finally sent someone up. He looked and said he had to go downstairs to the... More

Well, the hotel over all is incredible. It's a big place with three buildings, and all rooms are facing the ocean. The pools are nice and clean, the bartenders are super fast and really nice, the food is the best, waiters are amazing (special shoutout to Efran, Oscar and Christina in the mornings) etc. The staff are probably the nicest... We had a good time in Cozumel but the Melia let us down. The bed was like sleeping on boards. I asked several times for something to go on top of the "mattress" but never received anything. The air conditioning didn't really work. It was more or less cool air. Left the room very musty smelling and humid. I had... More

This place is awesome. We have been to almost every coastal Mexican destination, including 5 Mexican states, so we have a bit of experience with Mexican resort destinations. What stands out most about this property are the beach and the employees. The food was excellent. The beach had good waves and good snorkeling on the other side of the pier.... More
