Amaranto is a small bed and breakfast within easy walking distance to the town center. We stayed in one of the suites in the tower and it was very spacious and airy. It had a toaster oven, small fridge, microwave and sink. The counter is very high for someone just over 5 feet so that would be an issue if... more

I stayed at Amaranto last year. It was wonderful! Jorge is the best host one can ask for. My passport got pick pocketed at Chichen Itza, I only realised it when I got to Cozumel. I did not speak any Spanish at all, but Jorge was such a gracious host, who went above and beyond his call of duty. Because... more

I have stayed at Amaranto many times, and have tried other places occasionally, but always come back to Amaranto - it's stylish, great location and price, and Jorge is really nice and accomodating. Sure, they're not perfect, but if you have a light bulb out or something you have to let Jorge or Manuela know! The last time I stayed... more

We just got back from our stay at the Amaranto. We loved the wonderful, creative architecture and the warm hospitality. Jorge was so helpful to us. It was a perfect place for us to stay. The Amaranto is close enough to walk to everything - but far enough away from the cruise ships to feel like you are really in... more

This bed and breakfast was incredible. My boyfriend and I stayed with Jorge for 3 days and had a wonderful time in Cozumel. The breakfast was always tasty and the rooms are beautiful, each with a thatched roof and beautiful bathroom tiles. Super clean and definitely worth much more than the price we paid for the room. The main bedroom... more

Great location, great rooms and superb welcome. I stayed in the B&B for over a week and enjoyed every moment of my stay. Jorge, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful. He was always available to provide any information and went out of his way to find out what was required. The room my friend and I were sharing was... more

I have stayed at the Amaranto Bed and Breakfast many times. Always sent Jorge a note by email, always responded the within an hour. Have always seen Jorge at the properties 2 or 3 times a day. This is one of the best deals in Cozumel. Everyone I see there always are very happy with the Amaranto. I read that... more

I have stayed at Amaranto about 8 times a year over the past three years. I have stayed in every room multiple times and at all times of the year - high season & low. Jorge & Manuela always have all the rooms clean & ready for guests. Amaranto is one of the only hotels on the island with a... more

I read the few negitive reviews and was very supprised. I have been staying there for about 4 years (4 weeks each year) and I always have enjoyed my stay. A couple of things that stood out, Only one of the 5 rooms does not have A/C and it's on the top floor with a great breeze. There are mosquitoes... more

My husband and I have been visiting Cozumel since 1994 and have stayed at many of the high dollar hotels and resorts on the island and although they are beautiful the high price, number of people, and lack of individual attention was a turn off for us. This past July we discovered Amaranto - what a delight!! Our accommodation was... more
