My husband and I own a timeshare and booked the Park Royal through RCI. While the room was clean, it was small and had two beds when we asked for one king size. Our request for a room with a view was taken into account, and the view was great. However, the food was average at best, and a lot... more

Here is what you need to know about the Park Royal: 1. The PR is located right next to a cruise ship pier, so about 25% of the horizon is taken up by a cruise ship during the day. 2. The beach is fairly small. There are infinity pools on each side, though, that also have nice ocean views. If... more

We arrived and checked in very quickly. We were first placed in a room on the 3rd fl. next to the elevator. We immediately asked for a room change and we ended up on the same floor at the end of the hall. This was a much better room, quiet and a nice view. My husband plugged in the scented... more

Just got back late last night. There were 4 of us (two couples) so it was great to have the ambassador suite, with the murphy bed. We couldn't hear the other couple in the morning or at night, plus it gave us more room to spread out! We were only in the room to sleep, which was sad because it... more

The Park Royal is a great facility! The (all-inclusive) food is delicious. The buffet for breakfast , lunch & dinner offered too abundant choices that appeal to the American or Mexican palate. You could opt for a dinner reservation in one of 3 other restaurants: Caribbean/Italian/Mexican. We tried a mix of all options for dinner & were never unhappy at... more

We just come back from a 5 days stay at the Park Royal, overall the hotel is wonderful. The room is nice size and very roomy, A/C is very cold for us, we actually have to trun it off the first night to go to bed. Plenty hot water in the shower, they only have bar soap and shampoo, but... more

We stayed at this resort from 4/6 thru 4/13/2008. We are members of Royal Holiday Club and joined it two years ago when the Park Royal was just recovering from Hurricane Wilma. This was the first opportunity we had to go back there for a stay after it was completed. We loved it! As with others, we arrived around 12:30... more

Went for our honeymoon the week of 4/6 and LOVED it! There weren't too many people at the hotel - maybe the post-Spring break lull? We had our choice of lounge chairs at the 3 pools and the beach. More empty chairs than people. We didn’t try the restaurants since we loved the buffet so much. The food is fantastic... more

The grounds and the rooms were very clean, impressive. Loved the Italian restaurant, the Mexican restaurant was just okay. Make sure you bring along long pants and closed toe shoes or you will not be able to enjoy these restaurants. Women make sure your sandals are dressy, no flip flops. Children can only go into the Mexican restaurant, they have... more

This is our 5th trip to the Park Royal. We have been staying there since it was called the Sol Caribe. Our last trip was in 2002 and lots has changed on this island and hotel since then. Good things with the hotel and bad on the island. The hotel has always been comfortable and convenient for what we like... more
