My wife and I are avid travelers to the Caribbean, and also love to Scuba. We often visit Cozumel, at least 1 - 3 times a year to scuba, and have stayed at the Iberostar, Cozumel on 8 consecutive visits. We stayed at Iberostar, Cozumel Aug. 22-29. This was my wife's birthday trip celebration. Yes, we love this place and... More

We always stay at least two hotels during a two week trip to Riviera Maya. This year we decided to extend our trip so we could visit Iberostar Cozumel. We have always been attracted by the photos of the cottages in the jungle. We arrived July 29 after spending a week at Grand Palladium Kantenah and we knew that the... More

My family went here in February and regretted it. The grounds smell like sewer, you cannot flush toilet paper (needs to be put into a garbage can), the rooms have mold everywhere, the rooms stink so prepare to air out your luggage with lysol when you get home, the rooms are damp including the bed, and we all fell ill... With 11 of us ranging in age from 5 to 67 it is hard to think of anything more you could have done to make this the perfect family vacation. Accommodation was great, food superb and service spectacular. Highlight for us was the entertainment with activities for all ages, great, participatory shows, and in particular your Star Friends who were... More

This is our second visit so we were well aware of the rustic nature of this resort. It is a small resort with lush tropical gardens lots of wildlife and beautiful sunsets. The resort was closing the day we left so our week was quiet with no crowds or line ups just what we needed to relax completely Rooms :... More

Well, the Iberostar Cozumel closed today (Sept 1) for a month to do some much needed repairs to restore its 5 Star status. We had a fabulous time at the resort with our group of 2 adults and 4 kids for the first three days, joined by another 2 adults and 3 kids for the final week. Overall - great... More

After my husband proposed to me 2 years ago in Iberostar, Cozumel....we decided to bring a large crowd to join us while we got married on the beach August 7, 2015. There were 26 of us all together and I have to say that it was the best time EVER!!! Iliane Medina was our wedding coordinator and she went above... More

Our family went to this resort about month ago, it was great had great beaches and diving, we did rent private boat and did several dives off the wall, all was great along with service. Watch out for the pigs running around resort at night cool to see. Since its a all inclusive the value is incredible.

The rooms smell very very musty. The first room we were shown to was very small and smelled horrible. Nthe only window was the french doorway so made it very dark even in the daylight. We then updraded to a suite and it smelled horrible also but we took it thinking the air conditioning would take care of some of... More

I've stayed at a couple other resorts in the area and the Iberostar was better in some aspects, and worse in others. I'll talk about the food, rooms, and liquor selection. Food - decent selection and variety for both lunch and dinner buffets. The only gripe here was that the buffet food was occasionally a little cold. Also, you can... More
