been here for a month. The staff is so friendly. Comfortable beds. Right in the middle of everything. A real gem! Would send my friends. Everyone is so helpful. Continental breakfast. They really make you feel at home.

I have stayed at the Mary Carmen in Cozumel for two months in 2014 and I spent another two months there this year. The Mary Carmen is very centrally located in the heart of the town of Cozumel, you can easily walk to everything you need, one block from the ocean and the main plaza. The staff is very friendly... My three year experience is not positive. Bathrooms moldy, dirty. More noise than needed. WIFI is not good Mouse and bird droppings in the room and patio. Hospitality is lacking as mañana is the answer when you need something addressed. I've tried to help by bringing many of these issues it to CARMEN'S THE OWNER attention. I've had things stolen... Just few words for this hotel. It's downtown of San Miguel and the location is good. I booked online with hostelword (take a 5US$ for commission) and paid 350$pesos at check in. In fact we pay less at check-in than the bill on internet was supposed to be... strange... Don't book online in low season, there was plenty of rooms... More

Attracted by the open-air lobby right off the main square and the low prices, I'd been wanting to stay at the Hotel Mary Carmen for about 20 years. This trip, because our usual hotel wasn't going to have an open room for a few days, I got my wish. First, I suggest that anyone planning to check into this hotel... More

I have stayed twice at this hotel for a total of three weeks, and as a single lady, I've always felt completely safe. The family run hotel staff are Spanish speaking, but we were able to communicate. Most people on Cozumel are friendly if you make an effort to connect. The maid is a sweetheart, and was so pleased with... More

After one night in another hotel I moved to Marie Carmen where I enjoyed my stay. My room was nicely decorated with cute touches--tile, cut-outs, etc. Room contained a safe, tv with some channels in English. Hotel staff was pleasant and available and rooms surrounded a cute courtyard that was clean with several turtles living in it. Reception area was... More

This was a two day advance trip so I just walked into the hotel and got a room. It is located just south of the square and one block in from the ocean. It is near Primas and Suites Colonial. The room had two beds, AC a small TV but no fridge. The amazing thing is that the water pressure... More
