Another perfect dive week in Cozumel. I love the Barracuda. This was my fourth week at the Barracuda - and it was perfect as always. Super easy, Super laid back, Super convenient. They have all new towels (I saw a towel service delivering towels one morning. They rock. Way better than the old towels. Now, if they only would get... More

I enjoyed my stay at the Barracuda and thought the location was great. It's right in town, across from the Mart (which will save you lots on eating and drinking) and has ocean access. Despite some problems at check-in (they lost my reservation and were asking me to pay again even though I had already paid fully for the week),... More

I did the Cozumel Ironman in November 2010 and could not have chosen a better hotel. It is one block from the finish line and once you finish the race you pick up your bike, cross the street and there you are. The staff was not really friendly, the rooms were ok although a bit old, access to the sea... More

This hotel is a disgrace-everything is charged in US dollars and they then give you change in pesos-so a beer is 5usd -you give a 100usd and get change in pesos of 1140 pesos(rate 12/1)-they then for the next beer charge you 5usd but use the exchange rate of 15/1 when the original rate was 12/1-this is 25% surcharge-the cafe... My boyfriend and I are avid divers and thought this would be a perfect location to stay. It is right across the street from Mega (Which is as close as you will get to a Wal-Mart in Mexico.) It has a nice pool and the dive shop(Aldora Divers) picked us up at the dock out back. What we found out... More

Depending on what you are looking for, this may be the perfect hotel for you. For our family, it was fantastic. It was relatively inexpensive, had a great dive shop on site, they pick you up at the hotel, great customer service, close to town, and across the street from the "Mega" (a large Wal-Mart like store), which was great... I just returned from my trip on 5/2/10. NEVER NEVER book you incoming flight on 5/1/10...that is their Labor Day and it can take you double the time to clear customs with a severely reduced workforce at the airport. We actually stayed at the Coral Reef Inn a very quaint private home with 5-rooms, each with their own bathrooms and... More

The No Name Bar/Beach Club/Cigar Bar/Internet Cafe complex within the Barracuda is a great place to chill--especially if you like Turkish Food.

My husband and I just completed a week long stay at Hotel Barracuda. We have stayed here several times in the past and still enjoy our experience each time. There is an excellent beach area and pool with chairside dining/drink service. If you are scuba diving, the dive boats pick you up right in front on the dock. Since Hotel... More
