Very basic but a bargain...you get what you pay for it appears! I booked it at the very last minute so I have only myself to blame. Simple layout with OK A/C, the notice behind the door to the effect that valuables should be left with the front desk (and that the management can't trust their guests to be honest... More

This place is hard to beat for someone looking for a dive hotel. Super convenient. Everything in walking distance. Rooms cold and clean. No inclusive but food on site. Walk out door onto boat. Great value to stay here. Bar is fantastic. Girls at bar are great and helpful. A must stay!!!

Definitely a "dive" hotel. We had to walk up/down four flights of stairs with dive gear every day which was very inconvenient. The first night we had scalding hot water (no cold water at all) so couldn't shower and then once that was fixed, we never did have good water pressure so showering was never an enjoyable experience. The air... More

While billed as a three start hotel, Barracuda is showing its age with noisy ac, tiny fridges, worn furnishings and marginal plumbing. If you are a diver its conveniently located for pickup, but on return from your dive you will be greeted by relentless loud music from bar no name, a crowded pool and limited dining. There is no breakfast... More

I didn't stay at the Hotel Barracuda but did go there for a bit from the cruise ship. This hotel/bar is just south of the downtown tier and very walkable. It's across from a large grocery store and just north of Margaritaville. They have a fresh water pool, sandy areas, many chairs, and reason drink prices (compared to cruise rates).... More

Sadly this hotel made the business decision to rent most of the ocean front area in front to the bar which occupies the bottom floor. The pool, the grounds etc, are off limits to hotel patrons, but for a little corner of sand. The bar caters to day-leave crews from the many cruise ships that stop in Cozumel. The bar... More

I recently returned from my second Cozumel trip. Each time I stayed at the Barracuda. I don't think the Barracuda is for everyone. You just need to know what you're getting into staying there and decide if it's for you or not. The Barracuda is not a resort, in fact it's far from it. The rooms are very basic. There... More

I enjoyed my stay at the Barracuda - perfectly located with nice pool and pool area, pier like access to the sea and Paradise Divers Centre have a plunge pool, lockers and booking counter on site as well as boat pick ups from the Barracuda pier. Very convenient and accessible. The Barracuda Hotel itself offers very little other then the... More

Very basic hotel, but great for divers. The rooms have everything you need, AC (though a little noisy), balcony with ocean view, fridge and ceiling fan. The No Name Bar offers good drinks and decent food in/at the pool.

I’m a middle aged man with 26 years of diving experience, I've been coming to Cozumel for years. The Barracuda is not fancy. But it is functional and convenient. This hotel is right in the middle of town and on the water. There is a short pier out back, with very easy access to your dive boat or the ocean!... More
