My wife and I took our 9 year daughter and had a great time. The check-in process was smooth with no problems. Our room was on the 8th floor and in the south tower as requested with a king size bed and a couch bed fold out (and the view was fabulous). Housekeeping pulled out the bed and made up... more

My husband and I stayed at the El Cozumeleno in August and had a wonderful time. The staff was so accomodating. The bedrooms were clean and the a/c worked great. The beds are a little hard, but I have found that to be true in other resorts in Mexico as well. The food and drinks were delicious. The grounds and... more

This was yet another one of our trips to El Cozumeleno, and there were no surprises. The location can't be beat. Even guests from adjacent resorts walk over to El Coz to snorkel in the crystal clear water and gaze at all of the fish. As all-inclusives go, the food is not bad. Breakfast is great, lunch is ok, and... more

Cozumel is home to my first scuba diving trip back in "92" and El Cozumeleno Beach Resort is right down the street from Club Cozumel Caribe of which I have fond memories! El Cozumeleno is everything as advertised. Hotel and it's grounds are clean and well kept. Nice little beach replete with sand (precious commodity after hurricanes and the indigenous... more

Beware, no 17 year olds can drink. If this is a good thing for you, great. If not, stay away. They were very strict. I have been to Mexico several times during Spring Break and it never used to matter. Not sure what changed, but something did. However, you can go into town and they'll get your 12 year old... more

I have to say, after reading some of the reviews on here, I was very afraid El Cozumeleno would be pretty awful.... but it most definitely was not. Yes, the beds are firm. (Drink another beer and they'll feel softer.) Yes, the buffet food was not great. Our group also did not think the restaurant was much better... the appetizers,... more

For those of you who want that Xtra special touch to your vacation, go to El Cozumeleno in Cozumel. We were a party of 9 girls with 5 rooms. Brigido went out of his way to make sure our arrival went smoothly and efficiently. Since there were 4 of us returning to the hotel, they had a plate of Chocolate... more

This is my 3rd stay at the El Cozumeleno. I have also stayed at the Melia Mayan and El Presidente. If you are looking for good value and an all-inclusive I recommend the El Coz over the Melia Mayan. (If money is not an issue El Presidente is wonderful but expensive). I traveled with 3 girlfriends during the week of... more

I went with a dude who was my boyfriend (not anymore) and we had a great time. Overall, the place is beautiful and the people were great. It was the middle of the Swine Flu scare, so it was pretty empty. Several nearby resorts were closing down. But we had fun. There was no Swine Flu anywhere near us. The... more

Just got home yesterday from a 5 night vacation at El Coz; our whole family had a blast. Location was excellent along with the service. Buffet food was fine but dinner at the restaurant was very good (we ate there 3 of the 5 evenings; no problem with reservations). The pool complex was impressive along with the beach (excellent drink... more
