We have been to this resort 10 times in the last 15 years. We were there from 1/16/15 to 1/26/15. The specialty restaurants are all very good. The fish in the Italian is absolutely wonderful. We ate fish every day and it was always good. The food in the Topaz has gone down hill over the years, but still ok.... More

We came to the Allegro for a one week vacation from January 11-18, 2015. We came here as a big family 19 years ago and wanted to go back and see if it was still as beautiful as it was then. Unfortunately, it's changed and not for the better! Food at the buffet for dinner was always cold, rooms were... More

We are pretty happy with our stay at Allegro except for a few details. The service at the bar near the beach was a bit long because there was only 1 barman. The bar near the main restaurant (upstairs the reception) open only at 5h00pm. Only 1 restaurant was open during the lunch time and the food was almost the... More

On a recent cruise we chose to spend the day (Bought a Day Pass) at the Allegro Cozumel. The staff is very helpful, the beach beautiful, white sandy beach, sandy swimming, a little bit of snorkeling off the beach (not much to see though). The pools are sparkling clean (although the water levels were a little low not sure why),... More

Just returned after a two week visit from 05 Jan to 19 Jan 2015 seven persons. We had been there twice before in Jan of 2012 with eleven of us and 2013 with six of us. See my review "I urge you to go there" written May 2013 . We were very concerned after finding they had a major fire... More

This place is runned down, sewers backed up a lot and toilets plugged, Food always cold and not even cooked, got stomach problems, ate chicken that tasted off, be careful of what you eat there. Only one hot meal and tasted good in the week we were there. Never go there again, Never saw our Sunwing rep till the day... More

Just got back from our yearly visit to the Allegro. We were there from Jan 3-24th. Please remember you are not paying the price of a 5 star hotel like the Ritz Carlton so keep your expectations in check. This resort serves it's purpose nicely so for the price we paid we give it a 5 star. The recently renovated... More

We just got back yesterday and I want to say the pictures are not what they seem. Rooms either smell of mold, urine or backed-up sewers, some rooms backed up and flooded, tubs would not drain. Shows are crap and the night-life almost non existent so bring cards and games. Food was boring. We expected more Mexican food and the... More

We arrived in a group of eight (two families with young boys) from January 9-16 and I will honestly say we were very nervous after such poor reviews prior to our arrival, but we went in with low expectations and knew they had just re-opened. Check In was great with drinks waiting and they kept the buffet open due our... More

The resort is a little far from downtown but well worth taking a cab as a trade off for the most beautiful stretch of white sand beach with the clearest water I have ever seen! The rooms were very cool. And very clean. Food was decent. The pools and grounds were very well kept. The staff was unbelievable! They went... More
