We stayed here for 1 night visiting Chichen itza. A great location - walking distance to the site. The gardens are excellent. Staff helpful. Food was fine - we did not enjoy the loud live guitar and singing that accompanied the meal - it could have been more discreet and quiet. We couldn't have a conversation during the meal it... More

I took a bust to Chichen Itza and stayed one night at Mayaland. Since I got there after 1 pm, I took a 70 peso taxi ride from the entrance of Chichen Itza to the Mayaland Hotel, which is at the south entrance. Wow, it is a big old fancy hotel set in lush gardens with three pools. From the... More

I have been staying at this hotel for almost 40 years . . . it is magical every time we go back. Yes, it is older (historical) but well maintained and there is almost new remodeling where needed. We always reserve a room viewing the Observatory. Yes, it is a little more expensive, but there is nothing like sitting out... More

Where do I start. First of all our two night stay was booked for us a present by a family member so we hadn't chosen the Hotel but had the highest expectations and we're really excited about staying in Mayaland. On arrival the bus from cancun dropped us off at the chitchen itza entrance from there you have two options;... More

When you start by complaining paying less than $ 5 USD (70 pesos) for a taxi to take you from the bus depot to our resort 2 miles away ...The Mayaland is definitely not for you. More

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel 2 in the Mayaland in Uxmal. Excellent food with entertainment at lunch and dinner. Breakfasts outside were luxurious. The light show at Chichen Itza was excellent. We had a guide named Augusto, who was excellent. Available any time we needed him for 4 days. Very informed about Chichen Itza, Uxmal, city of Merida,... More

We stayed at Mayaland Hotel and Bungalows for 3 nights. Had booked a Superior Observatory View room in the main building, but were unable to access room 102 due to stairs only & no elevator, as my husband uses a mobility scooter. There are no rooms on the ground floor, as I had asked for. We were quickly placed in... More

Thanks for your visit ! The bungalow you stayed in is our most venerable remembrance of the founding of our resort almost a century ago, Chichen. Hence is convenient location just a few feet from our dinning room, main swimming pool, Spa and other facilities. Ideal for guests utilizing a week chair. Come visit with us again, just for some... First, I'll start by saying the hotel is wonderful. The rooms are big and clean; the restaurant is very nice (though perhaps a bit pricey); the grounds are beautiful; and the private access to Chichen Itza makes it entirely worthwhile. Also, the service overall was outstanding with many nice personal touches. Overall we had a wonderful experience. Two things though... More

Thanks for your visit. You mist our new wifi antennas and equipment by a couple of days. We have been working at improving the signal with our legacy phone company for years. It is finally here!!!! We look forward to your return. The buses are being moved away from the front of the building and into a remote parking facility... More

The place is great, the entrance at the archaeological site is just 2 mins walk, you can not be closer! Place it quite , big and clean rooms. We had a view on the observatory and it was cool Staff very helpful Only problem is that you can not walk anywhere else. You have to eat at the restaurant at... More

Great location for a visit to Chichen Itza with private entrance! Rooms varry from hohum to great. Do not expect much from the so called "Observatory" rooms. Rooms numbered in the 20's are good, especially 27. Breakfast is expensive and mediocre but lunch buffet is very good and priced right. Even if you do not visit the ruins this is... More

Here are the pros and cons: Pros: Right next to the ruins, pretty good food in the restaurant, reasonably priced, nice rooms, clean. Cons: A bit noisy (We could hear everything going on in the next room, and they weren't being loud). Advice: If you want to see the free light and sound show, make sure to follow the process... Thanks for your visit. Our walls in the main building are solid 10 inch concrete with insulation. I am at a loss regarding your comment on the noise. What room did you stay in? Thanks for letting me know. I will personally look into it. Thanks again! More
