My mother and I recently visited Mayaland, we're blown away by the singular pyramid view from our eat on pateo. The stunning tropics blew us away, the heat and humidity almost killed us! The resort was quite nice, but skip the buffet and go to a nicer restaurant on the property. We stayed in a 2.5 floor walk up near... More

Mayaland has literally Chichen Itza in the backyard and has the perfect location for a visit to this seven wonder of the world. The entrance to Chichen Itza was a short walk, around 4 minutes, from the reception, and that gave us the opportunity to be there the moment they opened. That gave us 30 minutes, one hour alone with... More

So much to say but I'd rather not bore you so here goes a summary. Greeting was great after our visit to Ek Balam and Valladolid, we were greeted with ice cold lemonades and happy faces. YES, it is safe to drink the hotels water and ice for those that want to know. We stayed in the hotel and not... More

We loved this hotel, which is straight out of an Isabella Allende novel. We stayed only night and will be back for me. We splurged on one of the rooms overlooking the Mayan Observatory. We left the blinds and windows open and were greeted by a spectacular solstice sunrise over the ruins. It was such a special way to end... More

Thanks for your visit ! Please realice that Chichen Itza Park management is done by the Federal Government. The yards are government employees. WE provide the facilities (building, utilities, etc. etc.) but they are totally beyond anyone's control but the Federal Government. They are punctual 99.9% of the time. They most have had a problem the day of your visit.... More

Stayed here 1 night. Absolutely beautiful setting and grounds Front desk/reception not very helpful on arrival.. Evening meal on arrival was not great. Rooms lovely. Ideal for viewing Chichen Itza as you can walk in at 8am and beat the crowds and the heat. Would recommend this hotel.

We took a side trip for a couple of days to Chichen Itza and stayed at this hotel. The grounds are amazingly beautiful and expansive. Iguanas are everywhere. The hotel is right at the Ruins and we could see some of it from our room! The room was adequate but had a jacuzzi tub and a nice sized patio that... More

We stayed one night at Mayaland to visit Chichen Itza having read that the location was ideel for visiting the park. That's really an understatement. The hotel is located about 100-150 meters to the main attraction. The pyramid. You can't actually see the pyramid from the hotel but it is right behind some vegetation. I suppose that's intentional since you... More

I was really impressed with the service and accommodations here. ALL the staff were incredibly helpful and sweet, the food was good, and the ease of services on the grounds was efficient. The ruins are literally in your backyard here. The only thing I would try to improve would be the noise level. We had a hard time sleeping because... More

Thank you for staying with us and for your good comments. Sorry to learn you had a happy, noisy group of spaniards that did not give you ll that good of a nit's rest. Maybe it was their loss in the world soccer match against Holland, losing it 5 to 1.... We all understand the noise..! Happy to learn that... More

I stayed for two nights in early June at this hotel, perfectly located near the impressive Chichen Iza. The hotel has the potential to be a spectacular place to stay - the grounds are beautiful, and the proximity to the ruins of the Mayan civilization is a big positive. The problem is that the hotel sees nothing other than opportunities... More

We greatly differ from your appreciation of "expensive" to the point of considering some of your comments totally misguiding. Our internet services are OPEN and FREE. They are provided in public areas such as the bar, but you are not asked to spend a penny in order to enjoy the service! Your comment shows that you have a very limited... More

We had a lovely 2 nights here and the kids loved the pool, the wildlife and the trees. We loved the building and the rooms although we were a bit surprised that some of the windows just had wooden shutters and mesh - no glass - which meant you could here quite a lot elsewhere in the hotel. We later... More

I most admit you left me puzzled with your comment about a children's menu.... what you would do had you had an uneven number of children... One realizes how complex this endeavor can get! We offer a large variety of entries, larger than any hotel our size (or those of hotels many, many times larger) offers of all the hotels... More
