Dolores Alba is located roughly 3km from Chichen Itza. We stayed there two nights and found it useful as a local base to explore the ruins. If you are doing so, we would recommend staying for just one night then setting off in the day, as the ruins can be explored in roughly 3 hours. The hotel ticks several boxes,... More

We stayed one night after arriving by bus and collectivo from Cancun. We booked the hotel through their website and it was as advertised. Coming from Cancun was quite easy, although requires speaking a bit of Spanish. From Cancun take the 1st class bus to Valladolid and then from the Valladolid bus station go a few blocks east to the... More

This hotel is beautiful. Amazing pool and the rooms were very comfortable. However we booked directly through their website and found that not everything they advertised was correct. 1. Discounted tickets to the Cenote across the road- when we got there we found they were exactly the same price 2. The room didn't have air conditioning 3. Free tickets to... More

This is not a fancy place but it has plenty of character. Get a room by the limestone pool which is unique and lovely. The rooms are simple and clean and the air is cold! The beds are very firm which I loved but some may not. Right across the street from one of the most beautiful cenotes, Ik Kil,... More

Great place to stay after you go to the ruins. This is a large hotel alongside the main lad very close to. Chichen Itza. The large garden with swimming pool screens it from the road noise. Unfortunately we did not eat here as the dining area looked very attractive and the pool was lit at night giving an attractive ambience.

The Delores Alba is an excellent choice if you are looking to save money and want something close to Chichen Itza. If you want more than that, you might want to try elsewhere. For me, it was perfect. 1st off, we took the 2nd class Oriente bus from Cancun and got to the Delores Alba around 3:30 PM. For more... More

This hotel has definitely seen better days but it is in a perfect location to visit the Chichen Itza ruins and the staff are helpful. Much the best way of seeing the ruins is to stay in the hotel and then go early in the morning before the sun is at its zenith and the tour buses arrive. The hotel... More

I paid about $40/night. Credit cards accepted. Room was very comfortable and pleasant. A/C. Good shower, plenty of hot water. I had in-room wifi in #24...rooms farther out do not get service. Decent restaurant onsite. Walking distance to the caves. Shuttle service in the morning to the ruins but not from the ruins. Get to the ruins as soon as... More

If you want to stay near Chichen Itza (highly advisable if you want to make it to the ruins early in the morning & avoid the crowds) the options are either in Piste (town you drive through to get to the ruins) or in some of the fancy(expensive) B&B style hotels in the surrounding jungle. Dolores Alba is the exception... More
