This was the perfect place to stay!! It was a short walk through the garden gate to the Pyramids and ruins. Since you are so close you can beat the crowds and the noon day sun. There was friendly service. The restaurant on the terrace was beautiful for our breakfasts and dinner. If you enjoy photography there are many beautiful... More

Really enjoyed this place on the edge of the ruins. Chosen because it was recommended as 'birdy'. It was actually very historic and classy but not cheap. Highlight was the birding tour for $45 from Bibora.

We had room 3 in the Morley cottage, mid week in August. Pros : - The grounds, filled with bungalows of the archaeologists that worked on the Chichen Itza site, the vegetation, the 16th century buildings including the hacienda, an old church, etc. - Proximity to the Chichen Itza site (only a few minutes walk from the "southern" entry and... My wife and I stayed one night at this hotel, and we enjoyed the property. We arrived fairly late on a Friday night, but were able to get a table for dinner after waiting until 8:30 or 9:00 (the concierge was a little difficult at first, but we persevered). The food was tasty and service was friendly (as was breakfast... More

During one of the holidays this year, I may visit Hacienda Chichen hotel in Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. This hotel is beautiful with excellent staff. I was there about a year ago and I wish to visit it once again. During my visit to the hotel this year, I can watch and listen to the musicians, visit many places and... More

Chichen Itsa is firmly on every tourist's itinerary of southern Mexico, and coach loads arrive daily from Cancun, so staying in this hotel, which back in the 1920s once housed the site's archaeologists, makes perfect sense for beating the crowds. When we stayed, the 'back door' entry to the site wasn't available, but nevertheless it was a quick 10-minute drive... More

Thank you for your visit. Wonder when did you stayed in our hotel? The pool is NOT closed. We did a renovation work but that was a week ago. Should you wish to get some pictures of our gorgeous swimming pool, please feel free to contact us directly. On other subject, I find a bit confusing that the title of... More

this hotel is a stone's throw away from the famous ruins ( be careful if you use the hotel entrance as you may be given a map with an incorrect " you are here" on it ) the rooms are simple but elegant. The air conditioning works well. The grounds are very pretty our only complaint was that the swimming... More

We stayed in Hacienda Chichen with our 15 month old son for two nights so we could coordinate our visits to Chichen Itza around the heat, crowds and his naps. The location of the hotel could not be beat. There is a private entrance from the hotel grounds into Chichen Itza. If you prepay at reception the night before, they... More

We have chosen this hotel because it has a private entrance to Chichen Itza and we were well served. The staff was very friendly and 100% local, so we learned a bit more about the Mayan culture and particularly how was the place in the old times (50-60 years ago). The staff was also eager to explain to us the... More

My wife and I spent an amazing couple of days at Hacienda Chichen, experiencing the ruins and local culture. In addition to being a beautiful hotel (with great landscaping) it dates back all the way back to the Spanish conquests of the 1500's and even has one of the oldest Catholic Churches in all of Mexico right on site!
