The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to the ruins so you can get there early before the hordes. But it is also a delightful oasis on a hot afternoon. The grounds are lovely, the pool is refreshing, and the rooms were comfortable. It was very nice to come back here after a few hours at the ruins.... More

We stayed here 2 nights, spending early morning & late afternoon at the ruins for 1 day (with a guide for one hour only, who showed us the ball park in detail as requested). The style of the room may not be to everyone's liking, the beds are firm & comfortable with colourful bed spreads. Our room on the ground... More

I found Las Villas online and originally booked it because of its proximity to the archaeological site and its affordability. The pool is beautiful and refreshing (and cooooold!), and it was a treat to sit and read by the side after long, sweaty bus and collectivo rides. I also loved the reproduced Mayan statuary amidst the foliage. After spending the... More

Nice and handy for the Chichen Itza archeological site. We only stayed the one night as part of our grand tour of Mexico. It was nice to be able to walk along the road (5 minutes) to the archeological site first thing in the morning before it got too hot. The cocktails at the bar are very good (and good... More

If TA had a "good" rating between average and very good that's what I wouild give this place. We showed up at Chichen Itza after dark on a weekend and were lucky to land a room for 2 nights. The room had a smell, probably from cleaning materials, but it wasn't strong and your nose quickly stopped noticing. The room... More

Loved the hotel, really great facilities, very close to Chichen Itza. The staff were very attentive, the room lovely and luxurious, except for the mattresses, a usual problem I found in Mexico. Very clean and well appointed rooms. Spa services readily available. Gorgeous courtyard pool setting, very private, nice courtyard for drinks and swimming under the palm trees, moon and... More

This seemed one of the more reasonable options for an early start close to Chichen Itza, and we were delighted with our choice. The check-in was very professional, answering all our queries. The room was very cute, the pool spotless, and dinner tasty, having picked the meal option which seemed good value. Reception arranged an excellent guide to show us... More

Surprisingly good value for the location. The place is clean and well ran and gives you the extraordinary luxury of accessing the ruins before everybody else turns up. They can arrange a tour guide for you (which takes some of the drama out of the equation) and offer a meal plan if that is your thing. The food ranges from... More

This was A beautiful oasis. Spacious, quiet, handsomely appointed Mayan/Spanish mix. Great place to stay and in walking distance from Chichen Itza. Nice swimming Pool, good breakfast. Plenty of service and everything you might need.

After visitng Chichen Itza on several previous occations, the last 2 in Hotel Mayaland, we found the prices too steep this time, and looked for a cheaper option. We still wanted to be close to the ruins, to get in before the crowds. Villas Arqueologicas turned out to be a great choice. At under half the price of its neighbours,... More
