This is a very nice small hotel, a short walk from the ruins. Guadalupe at the desk was especially helpful. It's a lovely setting, with rooms around a central courtyard and pool. There is a large library, with a pool table and various seating areas scattered throughout. Food in the restaurant was good as well. Wi if is available in... More

This very pleasant place is a 5 minute walk from Chichen Itza. It is like an old hacienda. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The restaurant served good food at a reasonable price. We enjoyed sightings of birds on the grounds and relaxing by thepool..

The location of this hotel is great - walking distance to rear entrance of ruins. The restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The pool area with the restaurant tables surrounding it was just beautiful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those going to Chichen Itza - the hotels that were a bit... More

This was our second stay at a Villas Archaeologicas and found the hotel as attractive and comfortable as ever. Set in historical, tropical gardens a short walk from the site, so much more pleasant for seeing the ruins than hastily on a tour excursion. The rooms, while some may find a little small, are very nicely decorated, well equipped ,... More

I booked it since it's walking distance to the sight and we thought we'd just sleep there and it was a real bargain - and I didn't belive any of the pictures anyway. When we got there I was more than pleasantly suprised: check-in service was excellent, room was really neat and how I'd pictured rooms in a hacienda, wlan... More

What a beautiful place!! Located a short walk to the ruins and a short drive to Ik Kil Cenote the Villas Arqueologicas are a great value place to stay while in Chichen Izta. The rooms are simple, authentic and clean, however wifi is not available in-room. Wifi is available in the lobby however, which we found more than adequate for... More

You can walk right up the road to the back entrance of Chichen Itza. Be sure to check the gate hours and if you do a night tour, you have to use the main gate. This hotel is great and relaxing by the pool after a long day exploring was nice. Check out Mayapan nearby too.

Had a little trouble finding it without GPS, but worth it. This is a very quaint, clean hotel. It's a very short walk to the Chichen Itza ruins. If I ever go back, this is a repeat stay. Desk staff speaks English well enough. Wi-Fi only works in a few locations in the hotel, but it is free. Make sure... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night. I had a nice bedroom and an ensuite. It was good value for money. I had breakfast included in the price for the room (which was nice) and I paid a little extra for a 3 course meal in the evening and that too was very good. The hotel is within walking... More

Positives: The location is great -- it's a short walk to the back entrance of Chichen Itza. The decor of the hotel is lovely. Front desk spoke excellent English and was very helpful. Other staff members did not appear to speak much English but were helpful and indulgent of our poor Spanish. Several amenities were available that seemed nice --... More
