Stayed here with a tour group and was very pleased. The hotel is comfortable, attractive, and well maintained. The staff was very friendly. Dinner was excellent and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. The only drawback was that it took the hot water 20 minutes to show up for my shower...but then I was, without doubt, the first person awake... More

You would select this hotel for its proximity to Chichen Itza – just a short 5-10 minute walk to the back entrance of Chichen. That’s where you not only get an early and fast excess but also get to avoid the massive crowds in the main entrance. The main entrance and the Chichen site itself gets really crowded especially in... More

Wonderful old style hotel. Charming. Clean. Friendly, helpful staff. We spent our evening in the courtyard, as many did, eating and relaxing by the pool. Would be great for families too. Meals were fabulous. Five minute walk to the ruins.

situated only minutes away from the south entrance to the archaeological site, "The seventh wonder of the world", is a good place to stay as this entrance enables you to enter the site without the hustle and bustle of the North entrance with all the tourist buses, etc. Our clean, arched room gave out onto the tropical gardens where you... This was our second visit to Villas Aqueologicas, since the friends traveling with us this year had not been to Chichen Itza. We would stay here even if Chichen Itza was not next door. The rooms are lovely, the setting peaceful and relaxed. We took advantage of the dinner/breakfast combo for 325 pesos pp. The food is very good. Dinner... More

The hotel is a great choice if you want to spend the night at Chichen Itza. Nothing fancy but the hotel is a nice size. Unlike the nearby Mayaland hotel the Villas aren't large enough to attract bus tours. They offer a meal plan of breakfast and dinner for a reasonable $20/ person. Food is adequate. Free wifi is available... More

A nice change from the city resorts in Cancun. It is a quaint, intimate setting with Mayan decor & within walking distance to the Chichen Itza ruins. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean. We agree with previous reviews about the Wi-Fi & ordering off the menu rather than taking the meal plan. Meals were excellent! We also advise to book... More

The villas are an excellent place to visit Chichen Itza: very close to the South entrance you will be among the first to enter the site while the air is still cool and the tourist hordes have not yet arrived. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable, the pool a welcoming source to cool down and refresh oneself, the restaurant... More

Spent 1 night here to have quick access to Chichen Itza and take in the light and sound show in the evening. - Be aware, unknown to us, you can book the evening show online, we did not do this, and when we arrived at the gate, it was sold out, so we could not attend. Villas location was perfect!... More
