Hostel Kankun is a excellent little place and a very good find. the building is looking a little tired and certain parts could perhaps be a little cleaner but really when you are paying 5 bucks a night you can't go wrong, the staff are friendly and helpful, the hostel is in a good location with lots of interesting parks... For me this is not a hostel, it's a house who is still under construction! I didn't feel secure at all, the windows are fixed with plastic. No lockers. The room is really dirty, same with the bathroom. Trust me, you dont wanna shower there. And it's very hot, there was a fentilator but to dirty to use. I was... More

At $5 a night you can expect the worst but we still didnt expect the crack den which was supposedly a room. If you're on a very tight budget id recommend staying there as it does a job as a bed to sleep on but if you have a bit more money id invest it in a better hostel. It's... More

The two of use booked through hostel bookers and stayed for month. We stayed in two separate bedrooms and are familiar with every bedroom in the hostel. Pros- It's only $5 per person, per night and the location is decent, very central and close to ADO and all necessary shops and buses. The owners of the hostel were very nice... More

We stayed here for two nights, arriving on New Years Day. Booking through hostelbookers we paid around £7 per night for the two of us - I think it worked out as 280MXN in total. It is a bit run down - as other reviews have mentioned the paint is flaking, and the beds are quite old, but the room... More

We are living in Latin America, now travelling during seven months and we are used to stay in hostels but... This place is a joke! We booked in Hostelbookers and in the picture it is amazing so you think that is cheap but very nice and clean but the problem is that...they are fake!! None of them represent this place... More

although the paint is flaking and the taps drip a little, the hostel represents great value for your dollar. We had an excellent stay, enjoying a spacious room, decent Wi-Fi, plenty of hot water, our own refrigerator because we stayed for almost a month, and very amenable hosts. The location is very convenient being just a couple of blocks from... More

This is going to be a rather short rating: We stayed for three nights in Hostel Kankun, Cancun, Mexico. The rooms are clean, the matresses aren't. There is a kitchen on the first floor, which serves its purpose. The kitchen and the bathrooms are simple and clean as well. The staff is nice and helpful, though they don't speak much... More

We just used this place as a place to land after arriving in the night. The owner was very friendly, gave us tips on where to eat and get buses etc. Rooms are what you expect for this price in Cancun but the beds were clean, pretty comfy and appeared safe. Decent location too. Good for cheapskates, people in transit... More

We just took the cheapest room we could find online, and it was just as I thought it would be. The service was good, since we arrived late evening on Christmas Eve, and the owner (?) was there to open the door and show us the room and facilities. He spoke English well enough. The room was a double with... More
