We stayed here 2 nights as a couple in private room and loved it! The owners were very helpful and it was a nice location in downtown Cancun only a 10 minute walk from the ADO bus station. The air con was great and everything was clean. Cool murals in the courtyard and hammocks gave a great space to chill... More

I worked 2 months in Orquideas (February, March 2015). The owners are very cool and their dog, Dante, is so cute!!! Breakfast is included and dinner too! (Some delicious Italian pastas) They put tables and chairs outside and we all have dinner together, perfect to meet a lot of people! You can chill with the staff an go to the... More

I stayed at Orquideas hostel at the end of June for 1 night. I was in transit on my way to Merida, so I was looking for a clean hostel to rest my head for the night. I'm no stranger to hostels and budget travel but there really are no redeeming qualities about this place. I booked this place because... More

Three friends and I recently stayed at Hostel Orquideas. It is located near to the city center with great food options very nearby. The local bus is cheap and easy to use making it very convenient to get to the beach. The breakfast offered was different every morning and the best I have ever had at a hostel and dinner... More

I only planned to stay 3 days in Cancun and then make my way to Merida, I ended up staying almost 3 weeks and barely made it to Merida, that's how great the place is. Not a party hostel, but you'll find yourself partying almost every night, doesn't seem like a quiet or calm place and yet you'll be snoozing... More

Cancun as a transit point or destination, this hostel is an excellent place to regroup and refresh. Includes breakfast and dinner, powerful a/c in the dorms every night, about 10p to 10a, so no mosquito bites in your sleep. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, especially the friendly and multilingual Daniel (English, Spanish, German, maybe more), from arranging visas to... More

Really lovely hostel in downtown cancun. The staff are friendly and eager to help. You can borrow snorkelling gear to take to the beach. Breakfast and dinner are included and the wall art is so beautiful. There was one member of staff, a large lady who was a bit moody - she acted like she owned the place. I couldn't... More

I recently had the privilage of staying at the Hostel Orquideas while in Cancun and found it to be an amazing experience. The hostel was clean and inviting, the staff was friendly and outgoing, and the layout had a great flow. They do free breakfast and free diner every night which provides a great oppertunity to socialize with other travelers... More

Loved my stay here! The hostel is located close to the ADO bus station and perhaps not in the most aesthetically pleasing of streets. However, it was easily my favorite part of our trip to Cancun. The community was friendly, welcoming, and authentic. I stayed in a private room, shared bathroom. No a/c except at night but but with the... More
