We chose this "all inclusive" resort and up graded to the "red level/ honeymooners package" and got screwed. The food was ok although not a wide selection. You are constantly nickle and dimed for everything. The package we requested and PAID for was not honored. We were constantly hounded by the staff to meet with them and book multiple excursions... We have stayed at quite a few resorts in this area over the years and this was one of the best. We did the all-inclusive red level with the one bed room master suite, which was great because we have a 4 year old and he was able to sleep on the pullout sofa with no problem. The staff was... More

I traveled to the Gran Melia in February 2012 for a trip with my fiance and parents and we all had a great time! We booked rooms in the Red Level - definitely worth it for three reasons. 1 - The breakfast was amazing in the Red Level lobby. There was a different spread every morning with a coffee bar... More

Red Level Service is the best. Private check in, welcome glass of wine and cool towel, concierge service, butler service, private lounge area with koi ponds to enjoy the wonderful free breakfasts, tea time and happy hour. Free internet wi-fi access, free cabanas, private pool area and exceptional service everywhere. Had a few problems getting some amenities offered by Orbitz... More

This was not a good expirence for us. We ended up leaving after 2 days into our week vacation to switch to another hotel. We booked and all inclusive hotel, and seemed that we got nickeled and dimed to death. Certain drinks had to be paid for, certain this that and the other was extra. The traffic and noise level... We had been to quite a few hotels in Cancun and the Caribbean and we must say that this has been one of the best experiences so far. We were initially attracted to this resort through the all inclusive offer we saw online as well as the pictures of the of the resort as well as the reviews from other... More

Very poor customer service: Booked a hotel with a king size bed and lagoon view, got there to be checked into a wet carpet 2 queen size bed room. Decline he room and requested a room change with a king size bed and lagoon view as reserved. I was then informed that there is only one room that fits my... More

We stayed there from 4/15 until 4/20 and had a really great time. We had an ocean view room which featured a breathtaking view. Our room was always cleaned twice a day and we never found any other part of the hotel to be unclean. The restaurants in the hotel were good - I think the best one is, "Ku-Nah"... More

I have never written a review before but I always do my research here when going on a trip.... I have to say I was a little worried because of the mixed reviews. Originally we had booked a regular Lagoon View room but when we got there we upgraded to the Red Level Section and I am so very glad... More

We spent 2 wonderful weeks at the beautiful hotel Grand Melia Cancun It is located only 25 minutes from the airport. The Gran Melia Cancun is a very large resort and is divided into different sections. Once entering the resort, you will be pleasantly surrounded by vines hanging down and lovely ponds where you can observe some happy and liveley... More
