We have stayed here many a time and think the location is great. Within walking distance to the Mercardo and many fine restaurants in the area. Hotel features many Mayan murals which are amazing. Although we did not partake in the SPA, comedy club and some of the other amenities, we did enjoy the pool area which was relaxing, We... More

It’s not easy to find a decent hotel in this city for a good price and with amenities. The Xbaqenque has a spa, massage, a pool, restaurant, lounge and a separate bar. Live music plays on the weekends and has shows such as a magic show, theatre performance or dance. It’s not Vegas, but can be a lovely topper to... More

This is a great hotel for a brief stop over. We flew into Cancun early evening and caught the bus from the airport. Check maps in advance. We took a cab from the bus station and discovered the next day that it would have been a quick walk. Rooms are clean and air conditioned and the hotel is charming. Lights... More

Xbalamque was an excellent choice. My boyfriend and I (in our early to mid-twenties), stayed here for one week. We arrived December 13 and stayed through the 20th. During this time we experienced hospitality in it's truest form. We were wandering the hotel lobby area when we followed noise out to the terrace. It was filled with music and laughter.... More

When we have to be in Cancun we always stay at Xbalamque. Rooms are clean and the whole entourage of the hotel is very nicely designed. For the past year management have improved a lot of things in the hotel, renovation of rooms and paintings on the wall. Service of the staff also improved. The only thing I dont like... More

Actually below average. If you want a truly old school Mexican experience, stay here. As you enter, it's like stepping into a set for an old Mexican black and white movie from the '60s. The employees are nice, but don't expect too much in the way of accommodations other than simple and basic. It is air conditioned (wall unit) and... More

We stayed in Xbalamque Cancun for four nights together and we aren't satisfied with it. Reception is nice, and people from the staff are friendly but the room and overall feelings from the hotel arenť good. Rooms are very dark with old air conditioning (maybe is better not to turn on it), floors looks too old and dirty. The bathroom... More

I really enjoyed my stay at the Xbalamque in January. I have traveled throughout Mexico, and live in Cancun, so I am very aware of what is out there. When I was having work completed in my home I needed to get away from the noise and picked this hotel. So glad I did........inexpensive, clean, beautiful artwork everywhere, very nice... More

Xbalambe was a basic, but very pleasant hotel. Service was excellent and friendly. The location was perfect as it is situated in the hart of Old Cancun close to the busy life of the town. The Hotel has a lovely pool with a charming outside area where you can eat your breakfast and lounge around when you have nothing better... More
