Initially they had misplaced our reservation, but were able to find it.The appearance of the outside of the hotel and it's lobby and hallway areas were really nice and had some very cool Mayan themed artwork. The room itself could use a little updating, but was still comfortable, clean, and fairly spacious. The pool area was pretty nice as well.... More

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 3 nights and loved the Mayan theme. All the staff was very friendly and very helpful if you need information about the sites of downtown Cancun. The pool area was gorgeous very clean and well maintained. The restaurant has great food and very friendly. The hotel has a very rustic Mexican feel and... More

We stayed at Xbalamque for 5 nights. When we made our bookings I was worried it might be a little gimmicky, what with the slightly over-the-top Mayan theme, but it was actually an extremely beautiful hotel. The walls in the stairwell, lobby, and cafe are all filled with very good poetry in Spanish, which kind of offset the kitschy-ness. The... More

However, 1st night AC did not have on/off switch besides pulling the plug, the AC was way too noisy so hard to sleep. 2nd night - Changed rooms - Wifi does not work in the rooms, the only workable wifi was in the lobby, the AC's on/off was to pull the plug, no hot water, shower head was spraying all... We stayed here for 4 nights, and it was a positive experience. The guys at the front desk were always helpful. Breakfast was served in a small restaurant by the pool, and was tasty comprised of pancakes & fresh fruit, along with coffee. We enjoyed the small pool and courtyard in the back. And the hotel was located near Plaza... More

First off, let me say I'm a budget traveler. I prefer small hotels over resorts. I don't expect much... but this hotel is terrible! My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night before flying at of CUN the next morning. It's location is not convenient to anything, only a couple of restaurants within walking distance and they're not even... More

Within walking distance from the Ado bus station. Lots of good restaurants nearby too. There's also a great karaoke bar inside the hotel and a good restaurant. The hotel it's self had a lot of character and the decor is really great. There's a great fresh water pool that you can swim in any time, and the restaurant will serve... More

We stayed here one night after flying into Cancun. We had a really difficult time finding the hotel but once we did things were okay. There were several places to eat that were close. The staff was friendly the room was clean. One negative was they had loud music in the reception area until about 1 o'clock in the morning.... More

First of all, when I got there, it was easy to find. The check in personel were very kindful at all times, but always that I asked them a favor, they wrote it on a piece of paper, and never fixed the problems, WiFi wasn't working properly on the third floor, the breakfast is one of the worst I have...
