Well, there is some good and some bad. Lets start with the good...... The staff is very friendly. The rooms are kept very clean. The view is quite nice. The rooms are quiet and good for sleeping...... however..... that is about it. I booked on Expedia where the hotel claims free wifi in every room. NOT TRUE. The only signal... More

This hotel looks like it is being rescued from previously tired owners. We stayed in a room on the top floor which had incredible views of the ocean and lagoon (10th). The room was large with a king bed and flat screen tv. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean as well as the rest of the hotel... More

A friend and I spent the final 2 nights in Cancun at the Calypso. It's a basic hotel offering basic services. Our room and the hotel were clean. The bed was comfortable and the AC was quiet. The hotel provides free internet service in the lobby. Speed and access was good. The lobby was nicely appointed. Check-in and check-out was... More

This hotel really does the basics ok as long as you have the right expectations. Rooms are basic but have air conditioning. There is a pool out the back which is ok but really you will want to not hang around the hotel too long and use it more just to sleep. Unfortunately, the location is not ideal either. But... More

Didn't have a problem at all with the actual hotel or personnel, but was very disappointed with the pictures on their website. They make it look like its a much bigger hotel. The breakfast was really good and the staff was awesome. The location is good, the beach is located right across the hotel.

My flight was delayed so they took us here. This place wouldn't be bad if your not paying over $25 a night. If you're coming to Cancun you will not be happy with these rooms. Very out dated and run down. The comforter was extremely questionable and I didn't use it.

This was our first time in Cancun...normally go to Cabo. We were meeting family there so opted out of all inclusive. This is a young Mexican family hotel, rooms are sparse, but clean. 5gal water heater, for all guests in the room (3) If all you want is a clean bed and a tepid shower..this is your place...hence why we... Wonderful and helpful staff. Great service. Rooms were clean and spacious. The view was excellent on both sides. Information on places to go and how to get there were readily available at the front desk. The only glitch was the slow Wi Fi connection that was only available in the lobby.
