We couldn't have been more pleased about our decision to stay at Hotel el Rey Del Caribe before moving out to a timeshare in the Hotel Zone. We took the ADO bus from airport to downtown bus station for $4, walked less than a block to the hotel (on the other side of grocery store Commercial Mexicana from the bus... More

We were absolutely not expecting this in Cancun. El Rey Del Caribe is a quiet, small and comfortable, and the service is fantastic. Our room was neat, clean, had a safe and a basic kitchenette. The only real downside was that the kitchenette didn't have pots or pans. All the rooms face in to the central courtyard, whose gardens are... More

our room was really spaceious. we stayed only one night, and was the best decision because we didnt want to stay in one of the horribly huge and enviroment destroying hotels in the hotel zone. We enjoyed our stay there and also liked the restaurant, were we had breakfast the next morning. although we arrived late, we had a warm... More

Great location of the hotel, quite and relaxing. Overlooking to the sea. Leafy and stunning views. Its a breath of fresh air. The accommodation was exactly what I was looking for. The staff were very attentive and polite, always upbeat, and made the stay absolutely outstanding. The restaurant served the best Traditional Jamaican breakfast I've ever tried. Wonderful stay in... We only stayed one night on our way back from Cuba, but wished we could have stayed more. Bright and clean, with a little kitchenette. Not too sure how near the beach if you're in Cancun for the beach. But the price was right. More

First and last night of our trip in Yucatan on the road of Mayas, we found this hotel perfect for our party of three adults. The interior garden makes us feeling outside of the city. Swimming pool is small but clean with clear water. Room and bathroom spotlessly clean. Breakfast included is fine, with good coffee for Mexico standard. For... More

Nice older colonial building on a courtyard with garden. Staff reluctantly helpful. The overworked waitress (New Year's day) did her best with limited resources (long wait for the breakfast, they had run out of half the menu items). The outdoor restaurant was charming enough that we didn't mind the long wait. The internet failed when we needed it most. The... More

My husband and I travel often to Mexico and usually stop in Cancun before traveling to Merida, or the Maya Riviera. And-- we scuba dive too, so it's just a 15 minute taxi to the Isla Mujeras ferry. Since we've going to Mexico since the mid-70's, we have both been completely bowled over by the development and really prefer to... More

The best things about this hotel is it quiet and is a short walking distance from the main bus station. The rooms are clean and nice, the water was just about hot. Staff are friendly and helpful.Breakfast is lovely but you have to pay over the basics, this is cheap though. We would stay again as the atmosphere is good!... More

Perfect for travelers looking to be welcomed, comfortable, relaxed, well situated, well taken-care-of, and feel like they are in beautiful Mexico and not a giant resort. More
