My husband, a good friend, and I had a relaxing and totally enjoyable 2 weeks at the Royal Islander in Cancun! Staff is delightful, front desk always available and eager to help, all amenities at our fingertips, 3 restaurants on site excellent, and the bus or van to other places in Cancun ready to give us unlimited opportunities. We were... More

Absolutely fabulous. Only annoying thing was the concierge Angel and the drinks at the pool bar contained very little alcohol.food in the cafe largo excellent. Uziel the waiter was brilliant as was Marco. We will definitely be back

Dear guest, Thank you for taking time to post about our resort. We have standard measures for the drinks at the pool bar. We're sorry to learn this didn't suffice and will review our standards to ensure our future guest's satisfaction. Also: we will have a conversation with Angel so we can follow up your report to learn about the... More

They promised a suite and delivered a very spacious room with huge closet, safe, balcony, and a terrific view of the ocean! I was not aware when I booked my reservation that this property is predominately a time share, and this has some true benefits such as: a very helpful concierge, on property grocery store, a tour company offering affordable... Angel was a huge help in assisting us with all of our questions and provided excellent customer service. He helped us with currency exchange, drew on the map to show us how to get to our room, was so patient with us as travelers, and told us some of the best places to eat. At the hotel, they have a... We have to admit that we did not know what Royal Resorts actually is about: “a leading Company in the international vacation ownership industry” (from Royal Resorts website). Now, let us tell you how it feels to be a guest of the Royal Islander in Cancun (Mexico), especially if you are not an owner of one of the apartments: we... More

Went there with a group of family members and family friends for vacation. The location of the hotel is away from the main Kukulcan Blvd, and away from the noisy party zone. It's quite and relaxing. The lobby is nice, and equipped with sets of comfy sofa and tables for the other to wait while I do check-in and check-out.... More

We are Royal Resort members and have been members at the Royal Islander since 1995. The grounds, maid service and maintenance are great. We always eat lunch at Cayo Lago, great service and food. The beach is in great shape.

Spent a week at Royal Islander as part of our time share exchange and it was great. Room was spacious and great view of the beach/sunrise. Room was serviced daily for free which we didn't get as part of any of our other exchanges. We chose this over some other options in Cancun as it wasn't all inclusive and a... More

We cut short our stay on Isla Holbox after 5 days and returned to Cancun, since we were flying out of there anyway. Having already spent one day we were loathe to return but we figured we could do day trips to Mujeres and Puerto Morelos. We booked a suite through hotels.com and after our budget accomodations on Holbox, this... More

Once a year, I meet my in-laws here for a well deserved vacation. My in-laws have a timeshare here, so we stay in the same room, same housekeeper, and same BEAUTIFUL view. The people are always super nice and willing to make your stay absolutely perfect. We always have a 2 bedroom villa with a full kitchen. We eat breakfast... More
