I feel like this rating is the same as the Royal Caribbean. The rooms are very similar, albeit a bit more cold in the décor, 1 & 2 bedroom suites. Fantastic view of the ocean, decent restaurants, ( Don't be fooled by all the hype of El Conquistador, its just an owners favorite, go somewhere else ) The pools are... More

We exchanged our Puerto Rico timeshare week for this beautiful resort. From the minute we arrived, we were greeted with extremely nice people. The resort is well manicured and everyone is always willing to help and assist in your needs. The restaurants are excellent and you can visit their sister resort next door. The rooms are big and come with... More

I stayed there for work this past weekend; honestly we chose it because it is one of the cheapest hotels in the Kukulkan strip. Cons: 1. The reception is old and the service is slow. 2. The room furniture and bathrooms are old, the the cleaning service is below average. 3. They do not give you a Mexican invoice, this... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking time to post about our resort. We've been looking for the exact details of your reservation, unfortunately we haven't been able to find them. From your comments we can deduce that you made your reservation through an Online Travel Agency (OTA). If that is correct, you made your payment to that company and that... More

We arrived at the hotel early (around 12pm...check in is 3pm) and I had been told we would not get an early check-in and would have to leave our luggage while we headed on an excursion. Boy was I happily surprised when Carmen allowed us to check-in early! She initially had us in a room in building #3 (which is... More

We have been coming here for some years for a two week holiday with a group of friends and always enjoy it. You can take your pick from the activity programme, trips out or just lazing round the pool or on the beach. We start in the mornings with a yoga class, back to the villa (their word for apartment)... More

We love the Royal Resorts in Cancun which include the Royal Sands, Royal Carribean, and Royal Islander. They are sister resorts so you can utilitze the services and amenities at all three. There is even a free shuttle that runs between the properties all day. You can choose from a full 2 bedroom/2 bath Villa with living area and kitchen,... More

The Royal Islander is one of the few properties traded under Interval International that does not require an all-inclusive package. Bravo to that! I don't travel places to stay in a resort and eat and drink all day. Additionally, the Royal properties do not have that many activities to keep people entertained for a week. The resort is kept immaculate.... More

Wonderful stay at a first rate facility. Great for families. Every room has a pool and ocean view. Great service and room maintenance. One rainy day, but plenty of indoor activities to do. On location grocery is nice, can fill up the fully equipped kitchen.

This was our first trip to Cancun and the hotel and our concierge was a bright spot of vacation. We had a two-bedroom suite overlooking the ocean and could not get enough of the views. The water was so many colors of blue that it was unbelievable. Our Concierge, Izzy is an AWESOME person. He not only hooked us up... More

Great resort, very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Loved the made cleaning the room everyday. It was nice to come back to a clean room and fresh towels. We liked the restaurant on site Cayo Largo, just wished the menu was a little bigger or that it would change. After 2 days I had tried all that I could... More
