This hotel is beautiful it is in a beautiful location and is clean and lovely, we had no problems with the facilities at the hotel. The beach was beautiful and it is easy to get to and from Cancun centre. We were two friends staying for a week to relax and enjoy ourselves. The problems we encountered as soon as... More

We were there in the last week of August. We had booked a room on the beach front. They let us check in early at 12 noon and the room was ready. The entire property was very clean and very well kept. The beach was well maintained; they cleaned the sea weed swept to the shore every morning, keeping it... More

Recenctly stayed at the Royal Islander, Aug. 21 - Aug 30. Enjoyed the stay. There cannot be enough said about how clean eveywhere is kept. From the beach to the room nothing is left untouched. The onsite restaurant, El Conquistador was our favorite for three nights. Captains Cove restaurant also had excellant food as well. Shuttle servie is availble to... More

The Royal resorts have it down to a science! If you are planning a trip to Cancun don't skimp by, trying to get a better deal. Just make your stay happen at the Islander (can vouch for the Sands as well). You will not be disappointed!

Very friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed a sister trip here and have no complaints. Wait staff is excellent! Make sure to go to Paco Tacos on site and enjoy their grouper taco! They are the best of anywhere! Also you can enjoy them on the beach at lunch and your bartender will bring them out to your palapa. It couldn't... More

My family and I stayed at this hotel and booked a two-two bedrooms suites for a party of nine adults. I really do not like big hotels because when a large hotel (100 rooms +) is 80-100% full, you will have to fight for a place by the pool, towels and the elevators will be slow and crowded. In addition,... More

We have been staying at the Royal Resorts in Cancun for years. They now include the Royal Carribbean, The Royal Islander, The Royal Cancun, The Royal Sands and The Grand Residences. The Carribbean and Islander are right next door to each other and you have full access to either resort, with a total of seven swimming pools. The villas are... More

This was our second trip to Cancun in the past 12 months and our first southern beach trip anywhere that was not all- inclusive. The result ,instead of gaining our normal 8 – 10 lbs, we lost a couple of pounds due to increased activity, water loss and not over eating or over consuming alcohol just because it is included... The resort is amazing! We couldn't have asked for better service or a better view. Everyone was very accomodating! There is an inter-resort bus that takes you to all of the sister resorts for free. You have access to the amenities of all the sister resorts which was nice. We had choices of different restaurants, beaches and pools.
