The resort is amazing! We couldn't have asked for better service or a better view. Everyone was very accomodating! There is an inter-resort bus that takes you to all of the sister resorts for free. You have access to the amenities of all the sister resorts which was nice. We had choices of different restaurants, beaches and pools.

Cant stay without sharing. The best stay ever. Starting from the begging we came to the hotel earlier than expected and the front desk allowed us to check-in early. We got into our room it was phenomenal, clean, beautiful and i would say a great view. The pool was amazing, The beach so clean and gorgeous. The staff made it even better.... More

The royal Islander resort is still maintained very well , even the appliances are very old, dishwasher are leaking , fridge bottom flange metal getting rusty. So far still working. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. Living room had updated with renovation , bathroom and sink a little old but well cleaned. Drainage a little slow. Don't forget it... More

We've ended up on this hotel due to a horrible experience at the Courtyard and let me tell you; the experience was phenomenal! They were so accommodating given that they let us check in early because we had to evacuate (pretty much) the hotel we made the reservation due to horrible service and poor hygiene conditions, so when I talked... Stayed one night after returning to Cancun from Cozumel. We had stayed at Royal Mayan last year for a week. 2 Bedroom suite was perfect for the six of us. 2 Bathrooms were great. Headed to Pacos tacos immediately for lunch, love the tortilla soup! Had 3rd floor beach front room, it was awesome location. I could have stayed there... More

We bought a time share last year when we stayed at the Royal Caribbean and this was our first time using it at the Royal Islander. You know what you get when you stay at one of the Royal resort properties and we were not disappointed. Beautiful beaches, great pools, and spacious rooms are the reason we return. This trip... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking time to post about our resort. Our resort is a mixed use resort and does lend itself to some challenges. Our prices are similar to our competitors in hotel zone. There's a wide variety of beverages available with the REFINE All Inclusive package. We're sorry to learn our options didn't work for you and... More

This year, my partner and I were invited to join my father at his time share. We had a lovely time, and were glad to see NO high school or college students partying, since that is commonly associated with Cancun! The resort is SPOTLESS. I was very impressed. Muchas Gracias a Edgar! Our room was always immaculate. I very much... More

My wife and I have been traveling to Cancun several times a year for the last five years. Her parents had been owners at the old Royal Mayan and we started to stay at them. There are usually three choices when selecting a room. First you can get a villa. The villa is the entire room and includes two seperate... More

I stayed at Royal Islander in middle of June 2014 for 1 week in a 2 bedroom suite/villa. Upon arrival we were greeted by hotel staff/concierge and were asked if we needed help. After check-in we were introduced to our concierge Lloyd who took care of us for the duration of our vacation. Rooms: We had a 2 bedroom villa/suite... More
