At one time this was a beautiful hotel. The front lobby is pretty and so is the pool area. They were helpful with luggage or anything else I needed. Inside my room it smelled badly. There was a 2 inch hole in the ceiling above my shower. I could see into the cavity above where I was bathing. That bothered... More

I liked the location. Close to Av. Tulum and some of the local mecardos in downtown. Also lots of great local restaurants within walking distance. The ADO terminal is only about a 15 walk. The pool was excellent. My big complaint was the "continental breakfast". White toast, Corn Flakes, Tang, and horrible coffee is disgusting. I would usually go to... More

As soon as we saw the room, we literally ran away in another hotel. I am not here to argue about why he has four stars, because I think the problem is why such a structure has not definitely been closed yet. We told the man at the reception that the hotel was clearly not a 4 stars as advertised... More

We had to find somewhere in a hurry and ended up here at a cost of 800 pesos (~$60). It is central to downtown Cancun and some good restaurants. It was fairly clean, I think, but the sheets, towels and pillows were ancient. The walls are paper thin. For the same price you could get a far nicer hotel and probably... More

After reading other TripAdvisor reviews of the Caribe International, I guess our experience there wasn't as bad as some. Had I read the reviews of this hotel before we were "switched" to it by the Best Western in Cancun, we definitely would not have stayed there. The staff there actually was friendly, it is just that the place is dirty....except... More

Hard beds, uncomfortable pillows, and very plain rooms. But the worst part was a band that played loudly and badly from 9p.m. until 5a.m. the next morning. Terrible.

Pros: Free wireless internet. Cons: Dirty room that is tiny. Hardly any room to move around. The room also smells horribly.

We stayed there one night on the way home, believeing it to be a four star. It was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. Lino covered floors, dirty and with the recent re-dec they painted AOUND the pictures on the wall, botched wire connections, noisy inside and outsidee the hotel. Couldnt sleep at all. Dont do there.

I booked this hotel since I was going to be staying on Isla Mujeres for a week and needed an inexpensive hotel on the mainland for one night before my departure from Mexico. I arrived at the hotel and was checked in to my room by the front desk without so much as a greeting, smile or welcome. I thought... More
