First of all, I'll start by saying that this place looks like an old La Quinta hotel. I would rate it 2 stars if it was in the U.S. but since it's in Mexico, I will give it 3 stars. The reason I stayed here is because the condo that I stayed at is in a little bit better shape... More

The hotel can't be compared to the top-class resorts located nearby. The swimming pool is smaller, the rooms less luxurious and building looks more like a flat rather than a holiday resort. Nevertheless, there's everything you might need to find and the cleanliness level is more than acceptable

We needed a large suite to stay for one night before going to Isla Mujeres and didn't want to spend a lot of money. This hotel is not up to American standards. When we opened the door to our room there was a small winding staircase. We could barely get our suitcases to the room. Very old, dirty, horrible pillows,... More

I have never had to write a bad review, but this place needs it. We are not inexperienced in hotel management and maintenance, and the BSEA Cancun Plaza is in serious need of help. I made the mistake of booking in there for a second stay, since we were so happy with it six months ago. Never again! To begin... More

This older hotel located at the beginning of the Mayan Riviera was ok for an overnight before an early morning flight. Three adults shared a room with 2 queen beds and the balcony overlooked the pool and ocean. The bathroom had been upgraded but no shampoo or facecloths. Couldn't work the a/c control but a pleasant man came and programmed... More

Not there yet, but after several e-mails (and I mean several) finally agreed the price was in US $$'s. They had quoted $13,180.00 US, which should have MXN, or $1,318.00 US. Booking was so difficult, I was ready to cancel, but then the cancellation policy made it so impossible, it was use it or lose it!! More after our stay... More

We stayed at this hotel because before flying back home, we wanted to spend 1,5 days on the beach. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. We think that the hotel does not at all deliver what the pictures promise! I guess they were taken quite some time ago, in reality the hotel seems a lot more run down. Our room was... More

The hotel has a sort of old-school charm. My room had two queen-size beds and a large balcony overlooking the pool and a great view of the sea. It was kept clean. The bar/restaurant staff were friendly and the food was good. But--make sure the air conditioning is working when you first enter your room. Mine was not but a... More

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! As seasoned travelers we have had our fare share of hotel experience in which I must add we are far from fussy and don't have high standards. If you want to experience prison or a rape dungeon or a murder scene then this place may be for you. The hotel is not conducive to suitcases, every... More
