I have friends that own timeshares here, and we go for a week every year. Usually it is in February, when the winter is it's worst in the states. This resort is always clean, and I enjoy the fragrant fresh flowers in the lobby. The beach is so wonderful here, and the staff is always welcoming. This year Grandma rented... More

The Royal Sands is fantastic, family friendly and offers a wide variety of services and amenities than most other resorts. The staff cannot do enough for you and are accommodating as well. They have tennis courts, a mariina w/small sail boats (free of charge for guests) and with two large pools with swim-up bars and separate children pools if needed.... More

We come to this resort every year. We absolutely love it. It is a beautiful resort where you are treated extremely well. Gabriel from the pool wait staff is a favorite. He welcomes us with open arms every year and takes very good care of us. We actually look for him as soon as we arrive because we think that... More

My husband and I have travelled a lot of places in our 40 yrs and I believe this is the 1st time he has said " I want to go back there someday"--class act from the beach to the food and drinks to the beautiful suite with a gorgeous balcony!! We WILL be returning to the Royal Sands and Spa... More

Royal Resorts always offers a great vacation.... We've been to this location many times and spent a week in May here. This is the first time we've tried the All Inclusive and it was a extremely reasonable deal. The food quality is always excellent. It also gave us the option to go to RR locations like the Conquistador in the... More

The staff is very welcoming from the time you get there until you leave. The price of the all-inclusive is much lower than comparable resorts. The Royal resorts own several restaurants outside the resort, providing alternatives for dining. These outside restaurants are also part of the all-inclusive. The service also includes beach side dining. There are activities by the pool... More

I've been an owner at the Royal Hacienda for 2 years now and this time I exchanged my week (points) for a ten day stay at the Royal Sands. The location is just perfect place to start any of the many tours that are availabe in the Quintana Rue location not to mention the finest restaurants and shopping experiences. I... More

Bottom line: I wouldn't come back, there are much better resorts. Pros: Family friendly Easy beach access Friendly bar and waitstaff Rooms are spacious Cons: Lots of surcharges (body boards are $12 rental, lots of menu items are surcharges, ice cream cones are surcharge) Shuttle service sucks ( we had a large party and they didn't have space for us... This is a Great Resort with a Great Location. Its right in the middle of the hotel zone. 2 bedroom suites with full kitchens and dining rooms. Rooms are nice, grounds are kept immaculate. Everything is very simple, check in, check out. Very nice pools, easy beach access. We did not do the all inclusive, so we rarely ate at... More

We stayed for a week with the all inclusive package. The place looks good online and on the outside but a few things are old and in need of repair. The tub needs to be replaced, our tub mat had holes in it, toilet is old. The bed was also older but clean otherwise. We didn't use the kitchen but... More
