We stayed here at the end of August/beginning of September. It really is a good hotel, despite some of the reviews, we actually found this place excellent. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Book a taxi beforehand (see below) - you'll probably get ripped off by the taxis otherwise. The beach is the best in the area - white,... more

We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks, last week of August and first week of September. I did not find Cancun in general to be crowded but the Presidente was not empty whatsoever. We had a room looking out towards the lagoon (not exciting) but we used to sleep so no biggy there. We stayed in the tower on... more

The hotel is located on the best beach ever!!!! It is not far from downtown, about 10-15 min of walking. Do not pay extra money for a view as everybody gets a good view :-) The restaurant has really good breakfast - reasonable price for the food. All in all, very pleasant experience!!!! more

The hotel may not be up to snuff with other Intercontinentals- rooms were a little dated and there was no safe in the room, but with that said, the beach is gorgeous. I cannot compare with the other beaches in Cancun, but this one is heaven. I went in late August, so there weren't many people, which was great- plenty... more

My first impression of the Intercontinental Presidente was rather disappointing. It was billed as a 5 star hotel, although I did know it was an older one. The room was very small for a 5 star - I'd say it was comparable to, at best, a very nice 3 star. The view on both sides (both the bayside view and... more

The whole wing of the hotel is undergoing a major remodeling while the tower is undergoing some remodeling. The carpets have huge discolored spots but you get used to them. The only covered restaurant is good for b'fast but very, very average for lunch and dinner. more

We went during Spring Break but you'd never know it! The beach was uncrowded; we always got a palapa even during the middle of the day. Room, beach and pool were clean, quiet, I even napped on the beach! Friendly staff at the desk - they were very helpful when our transportation to the airport was late, by calling and... more

We have spent there only one night, as we have arrived at Cancun Airport in the evening and we did not want to drive during the night. The hotel was very clean, nice, good food, nice staff...... wonderful beach! The only thing we did not like were the corridors of the hotel! They are not at the same standard as... more

Just got back from what was supposed to be a 3 night stay at the IC Presidente, but US Airways left us stranded in Philly so we ended up only making it to 2 of the originally planned 3 nights. The hotel is a bit dated, but 4 of us adults (all 23/24yr olds) shared a room and we had... more

All food was fresh and great. The pina colada's were made with pineapple and ice(not a mix from a bottle), the breakfast buffet was awesome, with lots of choice and everything was fresh. Try the Cavanja drink it's made with real strawberries. The hotel is situated on an amazing part of the beach. The sand and beach is word class.... more
