I was pleasantly surprised by the helpful staff. The cleanliness of the room. I thought it was great. We needed a place to put our heads for a few hours before our flight. The folks there recommended a great little cafe that we totally enjoyed. How can you go wrong for that price - clean, safe, helpful and your own... More

Definitely a quiet place. Even better with the treatment of Ricardo, who helps you and recommends places to visit. I do not forget Fernando who despite being an adult does not have a bad temper and always relies on what you can. Haina is a clean, quiet, very green place with a nice kitchen, clean beds, trained staff and as... More

This was our first stop arriving into Cancun from Europe. A bit intimidating walking from the bus station on our first night but that feeling disappears after you meet the receptionist. Has a great private room with a very comfortable bed (I'm a light sleeper). Air conditioning was great too. Overall after extending our stay there to three nights we... More

I stayed 3 nights on a private room... Never again. Try to have tea for breakfast, but have to do it in microwave on filthy kitchen... Couldn't touch the white bread with jam and bugs."non smoking policy" wasn't working. For what I paid for my room I could have stayed on a clean room on decent hotel near there.

We stayed at Hostal Haina for 1 night as we were passing through Cancun for Merida and then 2 nights on the way back. Both times we had our own room with its own bathroom and air conditioner. The rooms were very basic but comfortable and big enough to move around. There were however quite damp which meant there was... More

Hostal Haina is pretty basic, but it's also cheap; so don't expect luxury. The highlight for us was the help we received from staff, via email before we arrived, and again once we got to Cancun. We spent the first two nights of a three month tour of southern Mexico at HH; and we certainly did need help settling in.... More

All the staff (especially Fernando) were amazing and super helpful! The cleanliness could be a bit better though, and unless you leave your A/C on constantly, your room will become very damp and humid. In fact, our laptop BROKE because of the humidity in our room. Yeah. As for the location, it's very good if you don't mind being downtown.... More

I've stayed at Haina 4 nights and I have to say that it's one of the worst place I had to stay. The mattresses desperately need upgrades, you can feel every spring in them. The dorm upstairs has such a bad smell, after couple days all my clothes were smelling really bad. The place is clean but no real communal... More

Probably the best of Haina Hostel is the service from the personnel, it's located a few steps away from Parque Las Palapas, Tulum Avenue, Yaxchilan Avenue, The Bus Station, everything is right there. They offer from shared dormitories to private rooms

I ended up staying almost one month at Hostal Haina since the dorm beds are really good value. The hostel's location is perfect near the market, supermarkets, a plaza with street food, the bus station, shopping malls, and you can even walk to the beach in less than 30 minutes. The hostel was kept spotless and they even made the... More
