Positives Good location Good breakfast Social layout making it east to meet people Negatives There are a lot of drugs circulating at this hostel, to the extent that I didn't feel safe staying there as both staff and guests were popping pills.

To start with the positives, you get free breakfast and free dinner!! This is pretty incredible especially when on a budget. The location is not by the beach but the neighborhood is safe, quiet and due to it not being in the hotel zone, it feels like your actually in mexico. And for rest, if you want to party all... More

This was one of the worst hostel stays in my life. We stayed two nights and will definitely not recommend this hostel to any of our friends or family. The staff is extremely unhelpful, arrogant and seems like your presence rather bothers them. The climax of it all was when we arrived late at night with an injury, the staff,... More

We have stayed at this hostel a number of times over the past four years as we pass through Cancun on our way to our winter stay in Progreso. We like the location...a short walk to the bus station. We like the neighbourhood...quiet but always something happening across the park. We like the food, the staff and the rooms. We... More

I spent one horrible night in here. It's a party hostel with drunken american teenagers. Loud music all night long. Rude customers and the staff doesn't seem to care at all. Terrible bunk beds and showers (yes I know it's a hostel, but still). So if you want to sleep even a tiny bit, go somewhere else.

Although it's not the best location, and you need to take the bus on order to go for the beach - it's one of the best. There is a good shared area where you meet people from all around the world, the staff is very friendly and you get breakfast&dinner!

When I arrived at the airport in Cancun, I went a head and had the cab take me downtown the the cheapest hostel. I don't book ahead really, I just talk to locals cabbies etc. I figure there is a greater chance I will have a non-structured and original adventure. This was the case here as well. Upon entering I... More

We stayed in this hostel for 2 nights in early feb this year. Yes, they call themselves a party hostel, but pumping dubstep and electronica till 4am on a Monday night is ridiculous. We were well aware that it didn't hide the fact that they are all about partying but the website also boasted chill out areas for those less... More

I came to Cancun for two nights and stayed at Quetzal. The moment I walked into the space I felt I was waling into a movie set. Old charm architecture, zen vibe with prayer bowls on every floor. Like somewhere my Guru would take his students for a retreat. The other guests were very interesting and social, several of us... More
