I recently took my family down to Hacienda Petac and had a splendid time! I was lucky to find an opening in early February when the weather is just perfect. We had mild temperatures and cool nights. While I know the owners, I am still amazed by the resort after two visits - one is September and one in March.... more

Fresh flowers on the bed anyone? This is the hotel experience one has always dreamed of. This place is truly unique, I have visited many places over the years as a combination of work and pleasure, but I have never experienced this kind trip before. I was invited to celebrate a friend's birthday at Hacienda Petac along with five other women. The hacienda is a beautifully restored house in lush grounds about 30 minutes away from the Merida airport. A hacienda employee picked me up at the airport and the vacation began. We had three wonderful meals each day, served outside or in the dining... more

Absolutely fabulous place. If you've ever wished you could have a great hotel without the bother of other guests ...this is it. The hacienda itself is incredible but the staff is amazing. They washed, ironed and put away our clothes daily. I never saw the rooms being made up, but they were always clean. As soon as you even THINK... more
