We selected this hotel from the Lonely Planet knowing that it might be noisy. As I was checking in I was asked if I would like to stay in an apartment at a much lower price than the hotel room. The apartment which is run by Casa Grande Hotel was excellent - very clean and quiet as it was above... More

Like the last reviewer, we stayed in this without much research after the hotel we intended to stay in was closed, based on it being recommended by Lonely Planet. The room was noisy (loud music from nearby until 3am on a Thursday), but more to the point we woke up the next morning covered in bedbug bites - legs, arms... More

Ok, so granted we booked this hotel with little research which is unlike me... (The lonely planet does recommend this in their budget section) honestly on arrival the room looked like a prison cell, and smelled like mould (the bathroom was covered in BLACK Mould)....needless To say it felt wrong from the beginning, and we obvoiusly should never have stayed,... Stayed here for 2 nights in amazing Taxco and visited the silver markets. Stayed in the top floor of this pace overlooking a square. We knew it would be noisy as there is a pizzaria below that does live music till 1-2 am and there are frequent weddings held here by locals on weekends. Nonetheless it was a great place... More

First I was amazed! This is a budget place. The location is very good, the rooms are superclean, stylish, cozy, the hotel has a big terrace with a beautiful view, people were friendly, everything was just perfect. And all of that for a very good price! The big disappointment came in the morning. There was no hot water and Taxco... More

i went to taxco this past september, with my girl friend... and as soon as we got there we rapidly got booked with no hesitations. (pick the top floor with the view) as far as the bar and all the restaurant we never ate there we always ate at the mercado ''barbacoa de chivo and tacos de pastor'' are the... More

I stayed at this hotel, in the same room, in 1972, 1982, and again in June. Wisely, I left the night before the band played, but I was there the evening the guitarist played and I did not find the music loud enough to prevent me from sleeping soundly. The mattress and pillows were new and very comfortable. My room... More
