It was a disappointment, not bad, but still a disappointment. The place is definitely nice and charming, has a good location and boasts a nice garden. But the room lacks the personal touches you would expect from a Bed & Breakfast; like a fresh flower, a fruit, a special soap (instad of some random Head & Shoulders product), something that... More

I sincerely regret that this client had this experience. These clients arrived Sat. evening at the height of Semana Santa (Holy Week) and left Monday. The reason they did not see Oscar and Silvia is because Sunday is the staff''s only day off. They normally work 6 days a week from about 8:30 to 4. Even so they often stay... More

First the good- great location, lovely garden (though with no chairs) and Oscar and Silvia were extremely helpful. They were, in fact, the best part of staying here. The place is tired, could use some fresh paint and attention to things like the shower head being half blocked. The sign over the door says that it is For Sale which... More

I regret that this client's experience was not as positive as our usual guests. I immediately talked to Oscar, our property manager, and he was as puzzled as I was by some of the comments in this review. We have out-door patio furniture on all our patios and balconies. As far as breakfast is concerned I clearly state on our... More

We rented to main house for a one night stay. We were a family of four (Wife & I and 2 small children) and a friend of ours who was traveling with us. I'm not sure I can add more to the previous positive reviews, except to say that this place is special and we all really enjoyed ourselves. The... More

We decided to rent a house rather than stay in a hotel and I'm so glad we did. Oscar and Silvia are very kind and hospitable. The house was immaculate and very comfortable (we had a hard time leaving). If you visit Taxco (which I highly recommend), stay here! We have 2 children, ages 9 and 17, and they both... More

My stay in the main house was one of many highlights of my visit to Taxco. The owners, Sherry and Stan, answered all my enquiries prior to my visit from Australia and the welcome and attention given by the on-site managers, Oscar and Silvia and their young son, was second to none. As a solo traveller I felt safe and... More

I live in Mexico and I can tell you that the price is worth it! The house is wonderful, it's the perfect spot to visit Taxco. We rented the house at 4 people, it was really the perfect plan, don't hesitate! You'll be welcomed by Oscar, a very nice guy. I don't find negative things to say (price, location, decoration,... After having traveled all over colonial Mexico, my boyfriend and I decided to try out Taxco together. I had only been one time as a child, many years prior but I found Casa de las Palmas on the same day we decided to travel to Taxco. It looked too perfect, too good to be true! The reviews were great and... More

Oscar speaks English, is helpful and seems eager to please. He's available as a driver and tour guide, a necessity with the narrow, steep streets of Taxco. Silvia is great cook. They are a pleasant couple and were a joy to talk to. The Casa advertises continental breakfast, but on the third of our four day stay, we were offered... More

At Casa de las Palmas we do our best to accommodate clients and respond to any complaints. Some clients are more challenging than others. This particular client demanded a refund for one night because she arrived and a trash liner had been left out of a bathroom waste basket. (Silvia, our housekeeper was unable to be at work that day... More

We enjoyed our stay at La Casa de las Palmas. The house is full of unique treasures and was fun to explore. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. We enjoyed the view from the terrace and we enjoyed the quiet, peaceful atmosphere.

This was the most amazing place to stay in Taxco. It has a beautiful lush courtyard and large walls that block out the noise of the town. It is clean and amazingly decorated. At a 1/3 of the price of the Best Western, it is a great bargain. I only hesitate to say too much, because I'm afraid it will... More
