We could say a lot of things about this hotel. But my opinion is, that if you are staying 1-2 nights, it is good. Yeah, for the price you should have more facilities, but you are paying the view also, you know how it works. this hotel is romantinc, and i am not a romantic person. the view is spectacular.... It’s one of the oldest hotels in Taxco; it is composed of several buildings perched on a mountain cliff, just in the centre of the town. The view from most rooms is absolutely breathtaking. The hotel has some reputation, since lots of famous people stayed here in the past. The hotel compares with a European 2 stars of modest quality;... More

when we arrived and saw the limited facilities of the hotel we decided that the room was acceptable, (we had the towels changed for some new ones) the view fantastic and the ambiance (sans the comforts we are used to, i.e internet, phone, room service, etc) the balcony privacy and view made up for the other shortcomings. While the price... More

We chose this hotel for it's location high up on a hill and also an older Mexican property. It is unfortunate that it is in ruins. The furniture in the sitting room or our suite is colonial and needs repair, the bed was okay but damp and smelly. It was a miracle to bathe as the shower head was broken... More

From the outside the place look like abandon. what a pity cause it would have a great potential. Really old rooms not remodeled. The sheets and towels old and broken. The concierge is friendly but looks like he doesn't know why you are there The only thing to save, the balcony with the wonderful view over taxco and the cathedral... More

I would probably not stay there even for free, you would have to pay me to stay there again. The hotel is old, damp and smelly, I guess if you wanted to look for ghosts or travel back in time, this would make a great location. The rooms were old, in need of repair, the shower didn't work properly and... More

We were looking for a place in the hills, and found this ruin, picked room 48, corner balcon hi up. We agreed no wifi, no telephone and no modern conveniences would be compensated by the excellent view, but holy vaca de Taxco santo, the water was icy, the shower head broke out of the wall, the doors wont shut ....... I have stayed at the Victora 20 times over thirty years. It was in desperate need of attention 30 years ago and today even more. Just go there knowing you are close to all shopping and enjoy a beautiful view of city . Ask for the rooms on the second floor with the big balconies facing the Church. Some rooms... More

My wife and I booked this hotel based on this site's reviews. When we arrived and saw the room, we found it to be very different than expected. The rooms were dirty and smelly, the beds are old and the bed sheets were also dirty and torn. Bottom line - we couldn't stay there, and found a very nice hotel... More

The location is nice, however the room is very old and the quality of the towels and the furnishings is really poor. Do not expect to find hot water for your shower. I had to ask every single day for that and i ended up having a shower with cold water.
