I hesitated to write this review, however I don't have anything positive to say about this hotel. We were there in March for a wonderful trip going through beautiful cities in Mexico, of course Taxco was part of the tour. We rented the suite/penthouse or whatever they call it. We arrived a bit early to the hotel and the room... More

The hotel is situated at the corner of the main square, but most of the rooms are facing other way, so they are not noisy. It is kind of a labyrinth of corridors and terraces with amazing views and a small roof top pool. They have superior and standard rooms. Superior are higher and have better views. My (superior) room... More

The best thing about Agua Escondida is the position, which really cannot be beaten, being right on the Plaza Borda with terraces overlooking both the square and the magnificently ornate Templo de Santa Prisca. It is a rambling place, presumably made up of several once separate but adjacent buildings, with rooms and corridors going off in all directions. Very much... More

Stayed here just for the night. Check in was at 2pm, but we used the time to go and see the city. Once checked in we climber a set of stairs, and then another set of stairs, and another set of stairs, we crossed an area that could be used maybe for a party and then another set of stairs to... More

This hotel is quite unique. It is situated at one of the highest points of Taxco. Almost across from one of the most incredible churches in the world. The hotel seems like it was built in phases as it has so many different levels and almost addition like wings. Very colonial and quite beautiful. If I was a little younger... More

10 of us stayed at Agua Escondida. The hotel is located on the Zocalo and within walking distance to the famous church, Santa Prisca, local silver shops and world class restaurants. The Terraza roof top bar at the hotel offers a great view of Taxco and serves cold beer and has a full bar. Free wireless connection is available just... More

One night stopover with 4 kids. Bad: Had 2 rooms - both pretty meh. Clean, but very tired and dingy. The cleaning detergent that they must use on the bathrooms had a smell that left most of my family rather green faced which was a shame. Staff neither here nor there really.. Just going through the motions. Very busy hotel... More

We only stayed one night. Good thing because the bed was like a board. The staff was cordial but I think tourism has ruined this town since I was here 25 years ago. The restaurant was average if you want an American breakfast. (which I didn't but was in a hurry)

I booked this room for a night in an internet website for a decent price yet not super cheap, and when we got there everything was in order but despite the hotel being relatively empty they got us darkest and farthest room possible, which wasn't good considering how many rooms they have with view of this amazing town. so, apart... We stayed in this hotel just for one night in August 2013. Upon checking in, we were helped by a friendly woman at the front desk. At first, she could not find our reservation that we placed on despegar.com but eventually she found it after checking with her manager. The room had a lot of space and included one double... More
