This is a nice little hotel with friendly staff. Our only problem was we made a booking and they lost it, so it took a while to get into our room, which wasn't welcome after the long bus journey from Palenque (tip: If you're going from Palenque to San Cristobal you can get a cheap tour in Palenque which takes... more

We chose this hotel because of the positive user reviews here on TripAdvisor and because the it was purportedly bilingual. We found the rooms to be mediocre at best (but clean, to be fair) and the staff to be quite unhelpful. My Spanish is not very good, admittedly, but I did fine with absolutely every other transaction in Mexico over... more

Small charming hotel with friendly owners. The rooms are small but pretty and laid around a nice little courtyard. Very close to the restaurants and the town center. The rooms are clean but the bathrooms are small and the shower curtains do a terrible job of keeping the water from spalshing all over. Also, the owners allow smoking in the... more

Arrived late and left early maybe that is why the hotel's charm did not rub on me. The room was basic but clean, bathroom tiny. The owners were in & out in the morning but helpful in getting a taxi. Wi-Fi free on laptop near reception. Hotel is lovely with beautiful courtyard and very central. more

We felt at home from the moment we arrived in this hotel. Whatever you do make sure to experience the home-made breakfast while you're here! There's a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the hotel at any time. Both of the owners were VERY helpful in organising trips and suggesting things to do or places to eat. They even helped us organise... more

This property is indeed a great value in San Cristobal. The owners, an Italian couple, are charming and always available to help you in any matter. Rooms are nicely decorated, facing an interior patio. Bathrooms are functional and clean. Internet is provided for free. Breakfast is not included. Perhaps, it is a bit overpriced since similar places might be found... more

Well... I left this hotel on 8th august. My staying in room n° 3 was so good! Dear Sirs, we have to respect the opinions coming from all the people. Also negative! I invite you to read all he reviews talking about this nice hotel and the friendly owners. How many bad opinions are you able to read? Is it... more

We booked the room for one night in advance. The location is very good. The staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable. We didn't like the shower so much - it wasn't so clean and the water weren't so hot. Breakfast was not included. Internet was slow and limited to half an hour per guest (on a laptop found in... more

We stayed at Posada Media Luna for three days in the first week of August and we must say that the good reviews we read about it were quite right! The hotel is perfect for its location, for the nice rooms well decorated and the good breakfast (great coffee). But the most important is that the owners (Roberto and Francesca)... more

The hotel looks nice and it is well-decorated. However, it is the dirtiest hotel we stayed in Mexico (and we paid more or less the same in the other hotels). The liners had several big holes and black spots. Also the bathroom was dirty. In general, I think you can find much cleaner places to stay in San Cristobal. more
