We had such a wonderful stay at Bela's. We were so welcomed into her home. The Beds were so comfortable, and warm, we were there at the coldest time of year. Teresa and her sister (beautiful local women) made breakfast so Lovely, watch out for the homemade Granola its addicting! Bela and her Husband were a pleasure, and were so... more

We just had our first visit to San Cristobal and staying at Bela's made it a wonderful experience. We stayed in the King Suite which had a sitting area and seperate bath with a clawfoot tub and shower. It was perched high above the beautiful gardens and gave a wonderful view of the mountains. Bela is so helpful. She knows... more

Stayed at Bela's for almost one week and felt like part of the family when we left. Rooms were beautifully decorated; the mattresses, pillows and blankets were super comfy; location near the indigenous craft market and walking streets were very close by and easy to get to; breakfasts were healthy and very yummie to start the day; and the garden... more

Hi - you've read all the reviews (well, you should) it's all true so I won't repeat the same stuff! Just go there! If you can, ask for the top room with the balcony, you won't be disappointed. Breakfast is superb! more

I stayed at Bela's for 8 nights while visiting San Cristobal to see friends and get some writing done. I've been to San Cristobal many times, and have never stayed in a hotel or b&b which was as pleasant as Bela's. Central location, but still quiet and peaceful, immaculate and beautifully decorated rooms, lots of hot water, delicious breakfasts, and... more

and I've been to many. This place is beautiful, quiet, clean, accessible...everything is truly flawless. Not to mention the hospitality, the magical ambiance, and the amazing food ( breakfast or lunch, and I recommend both). There, I've said it. more

Stayed here for 5 days while travelling around Mexico. San Cristobel is a fabulous town and Bela's place is so comfortable and friendly and she makes you feel right at home. The breakfasts are great and The B&B is in a great location very close to everything but also quiet at night. I kept looking for reasons to keep hanging... more

I stayed at Bela's for 3/4 nights in early September. I absolutely loved it. Bela is an amazing host. She is charming, insightful, and helpful. Her place is steps away from the artisan market and a block away from the main strip of cafes and shops. I felt completely safe walking back to her place in the evening after going... more

Bela is wonderful as is her B & B. We were on our way from Akumal when my van broke down in Ososingo. Bela made arrangments for a driver to pick us up and drive us to San Cristobal. She went way out of her way to make sure our trip was wonderful. The breakfasts were to die for. I... more

This is an incredibly special place in a beautiful city. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building with a center garden and wonderful rooms. The garden is full of gorgeous flowers, plants, hummingbirds, and butterflies. The real charm of this place is the people. The owners Bela and Sangeet and their extended family and friends are a constant fixture... more
