Look-- if you haven't done anything outside of Mexico besides Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Cabo, etc, and you expect similar lodgings-- best pony-up and get a room at your familiar chain-- can't remember if it's Best Western or Holiday Inn or whatever. If you want a decent room at a decent price that's a couple of blocks off the main walks... More

good quality price ration. The hotel is simple but clean and very well located. Our room was on the second floor, quite big, quiet (windows give onto the internal courtyard) but very cold at night (no heating....). Bring anyway mask and earplug. This is a nice average hotel in San Cristobal. They had a problem with my reservation that i paid and reserved online. They wanted me to pay again for it, they checked it and fixed the mistake. Stayed here on 10/31 & 11/1 (Day of the Dead). Walked in without reservation and got 2 seperate rooms (myself and father) at 250 Pesos/Night/Room ($20 US). Basic rooms with a good hot shower! Only disadvantage is that the rooms are humid, the towels did not dry well. The hotel is at a good location and is reasonable priced (550 pesos for a double).
