Very welcoming hostel, clean, cozy and an awesome place to meet people! Location is close to markets and the town centre, everything's in walking distance. Big plus: free breakfast!

Overall this a great place to stay.the price is great 100 pesos a night( around US $8). The people are welcoming and helpful. If you are planning to head to Guatemala after San Cristobal then they will setup a shuttle to your destination. Great location close to the markets and main plazas. Free breakfast! First it was very hard to find, because most taxi drivers didnt know it. but it was a very good recomendation from friends. the rooms were clean, it had hot showers, it was a cold night so we got two blankets and free internet. the staff was friendly and helpfull with organising trips. Nice place to stay!

iguana hostal is a very nice place, with clean dorms and privat rooms, kitchen, internet acess, an awesome rooftop terrace with a nice views of san chris, a just opened bar and with nightly bonfire in the yard (helps worming up during december in this town)... and the place has just a really good atmosphere! i defenently enjoyed my time... The staff are very helpful. There are cheap organized outings at the hostel. Great markets around the corner. Made many friends and had many laughs.
