I have wanted to stay at Casa Na Bolom for 30 years. I am sorry I missed my conversation with Trudy but her spirit is very much still alive in Casa. Immediately I felt at home and privileged to wander through the large house as if it was my own. There is a very intimate feeling since many personal items... More

The hotel is inside a museum so rooms and patios are decorated with numerous historical object and photos. The park is relaxing and peaceful as is the hotel as a whole. Rooms are vast and nicely decorated, as the place is old don't expect a top of the line modern bathroom. But it's perfectly funccional. There's a vast dinner room... More

We very much enjoyed our one night stay at Na Bolom. The rooms are large and comfortable and beautifully decorated with museum items. In contrast to one of the other reviews we were offered (and accepted) a tour of the house. This was excellent. The person running the tour was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and spent more than an hour... More

We stayed for 2 nights at Casa Na Bolom. Our room was very comfortable & one of the most beautiful rooms I have ever stayed in. The room has many elements that are lovingly handcrafted, & the decorative artifacts are really museum pieces. I am older & from a community where there are many European artists & academics. Our room... More

We stayed at the Casa Na Bolom for 1 night in mid-Feb ($120). The Na Bolom functions as a hotel and museum in support of the non-propfit Asociación Cultural Na Bolom. It is definitely atmospheric, retaining the essence of its original owners through the photographs in the guest rooms and the displays in the museum rooms around the main courtyard.... More

A fascinating and lovely place to stay but frustrating as hotel guests are not really introduced to the museum, and staff are a bit offhand and have little English. So you have to be proactive and ask to see the video about the museum's founders. Maybe ask to see several rooms as they vary greatly. Bit of a walk to... More

At $100+ USD per night it should be. Will have to admit we enjoyed a night at the expense of booking.com They apparently mistakenly offered a room at 87% discount and we grabbed it. To the hotels credit and it's staff they HONORED the mistaken pricing. Very pleasant room. Wonderful furnishings, great king bed, fireplace, large bath with jacuzzi and... More

This is one of the most special places to stay I have ever been to. Everything is outstanding: service, rooms, food, ambience, decoration, location, etc. And the best place is the funds go to helping the Lacandon Mayans, which are badly in need of resources. The hotel is also a museum. Chimneys in the rooms help create a very comfortable... More

I've stayed at Na Bolom 5 or 6 times over the past 25 years. This property is like none other in San Cristobal. It's not just a hotel but rather an experience where you can dine at a huge candlelit dining table among students, educators and adventurous people from around the world seeking not just a hotel but a study... I was there for 3 nights and it was really amazing the fact that I didn't need to go out. All the mood of the town I was looking was there in a silent and traditional way. A great place for work in San Cristóbal, great food and it seems that the magic of all the town could be in... More
