Casa Na Bolom is an amazing historical place where Frida Kahlo hanged with the owners explorers Frans and Trudy Blom. The rooms are rustic and it takes long time to get hot water, and if you travel during winter the nights are very cold. The breakfast in the beautiful patio is great and you should definitely take the guided tour... More

We stayed here on two occasions for a total of three nights. The first stay was two nights in "Santiago" and then we had another solo night in "Harvard" - the latter room was definitely much nicer than the former, in terms of the feel of the room, the quality of the bathroom, and the noise levels overnight. The property... More

This is not a typical tourist hotel, but therein lies the charm. If you require service and amenities that US type lodgings offer you may not be happy here. There is no television, in room telephone or staff that are conversant in English. The hotel is a beautiful colonial building with loads of artistic detail and decoration. It in fact... More

We loved Na Bolom, which is more than just a hotel, for its character, history and role in the region. We had a room in the main house with a fireplace, which I recommend over the rooms in the "extension" in the garden. Hotel guests are entitled to a free (although we did tip him) guided tour of the museum... More

The gardens, the rooms full of traditional furniture and great breakfasts are great. The fact that we did not have water at night for 3 nights was not good. The reception people are poorly trained but the maid was a great problem solver. I think they have the wrong people in the positions assignedThe waiter that served us every morning... More

It's sad to see this historic and beautiful place being managed and run so poorly. While our room was richly historic and beautifully romantic, it was a sad state when the water stopped every night at about 10 pm. After two nights we finally moved to a different room (after an initial futile try at a room that also had... More

I just visit again Na Bolom Hotel: I just have to say that I confirm is the best place in San Cristobal to feel exactly what this town is. That's the big difference with other good hotels that might have modern amenities in town. In addition you have an interesting Museum, delicious food and a excellent service.

if you visit San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico, you must see Casa Na Bolom. It is at the heart of Chiapas most typical town. The hotel is only ten minutes northeast far from San Cristobal downtown and you can be there by walking. Rooms are warm and the food at the Restaurant is excellent. Besides, it has a museum... More

Casa Na Bolom is not just another place to stay...it is a complete experience! You are literally staying in an archeological/anthropological museum, with photos and other artifacts in your room, along with having access to all of the rooms of the museum, the beautiful courtyard and garden. I was traveling alone and each morning at breakfast I didn't know who... More

First of all; Na- Bolom is an operating museum. Casa Na-Bolom is a peaceful setting with a huge garden and antiques with long histories are arrange beautifully in every corner of the place. If you arrive here not knowing anything about the place ensure you take some time out to learn. Afterwards Na-Bolom will become all the more special. The... More
