It was a great stay in a beautiful hotel. Services are excellent, the rooms are lovely and well furnished, it is very quiet and close to the center at the same time. There is even a heating device in the rooms for the cold nights of San Cristobal ! I would definietly recommand this hotel.

The hotel is in a quiet street and has a lovely atmosphere. It is also just a few minutes walk from the main street and square, which makes it handy for all the bars, restaurants and shops. Breakfast is served across the road at the restaurant . The only downside we found was noise, although the street is quite it... More

The hotel is pretty and location very centric, walking distance from all the restaurants and plaza, the rooms are very small also all the spaces inside the room, like the sink. They have another building which is right infront for breakfast with a very lovely decoration, breakfast is as expected.

I stayed at the Hotel Casavieja in mid-March 2015 for a 2-night stay, for the purpose of a day-long visit of the town/surrounding area before proceeding to Guatemala the following day, on the fifth stage of my 18-day 'Mysteries of the Maya' holiday operated by Voyages Jules Verne. I found this hotel to be perfectly comfortable for our 'longer' stay... More

This hotel is certainly pretty and quaint with traditional Spanish/Colonial architecture. It is located within minutes away from the San Cristobal’s main square and is on a street which runs parallel to the main pedestrian street where the shops, bars and restaurants are. The front desk staffs weren’t exactly warm and they were not proficient in English. Anyway, our local... More

Although the rooms were quite small they were very clean and comfortable and virtually no traffic noise from surrounding streets. The breakfast restaurant was in a building across the street, but this did not pose a problem because the roads are very quiet and easy to cross. Food at breakfast was plentiful and of a good quality. This was a... More

This hotel should have everything needed to provide an excellent base for visiting San Cristobal. The building is a complex colonial structure with several courtyards and an attractive garden and reception area. The rooms are interesting if a little cluttered, and the restaurant across the road(part of the hotel) serves excellent breakfasts with charm and flair. It would be excellent... More

First trip to San Cristobal and we stayed two nights at Casavieja. Excellent value. The hotel has a classic feel to it. Old colonial building with two floors of rooms surrounding courtyards. We were on the second floor towards the back. There was no street noise though you can hear other guest moving around outside, nothing serious. Nice size rooms... More

A delightful hotel, where we enjoyed a 2 night stay. The rooms are quite small, but with all amenities and the best shower we have had in ages. The rooms are around a central courtyard.. So no street noise, but some noise from other guests going along the wooden walkway to their rooms. But don't let that put you off... More

We stayed at Hotel Casavieja for 4 days. The hotel is centrally located (just walking distance from all the restaurants). The staff was very nice. The hotel is very clean and safe. It has beautiful Mexican colonial decor. The only negative thing about this hotel is the noise you can hear from the hallways. If you are a light sleeper... More
