July 4-5, 2015. Maybe it's different traveling with locals from Chiapas? We walked up, asked for two rooms and were greeted with friendliness and smiles. Lovely clean hotel and really nice city. Weather was perfect. FYI...Weather.com is clueless on the forecasts. Simply clueless. Real time updates said it was raining but was clear and quite comfortable.

After reading several reviews on trip advisor, booking dot com and checking the website of the hotel, my gf decided Hotel Casa Mexicana offered a pretty good deal for its price, thus she decided to book 3 nights. The experience was rather disappointing. I want to begin with the good before I elaborate on what's bad. The good: Location: The... More

Casa Mexicana is an attractive looking hotel inside, but you should be aware that their are deficiencies. The wifi was pretty lousy with weak signal and intermittent service. The front desk did not give us the wake-up call that we requested. Also when you make your reservation be sure and do it in the local currency of Mexican pesos otherwise... More

My family and I went to San Cristobal for New Years and we booked a room at this hotel. When we arrived they told us that they did not have a room for us because a guest wanted to spend one more night at the hotel. So, they decided to get us a room at another hotel "just 15 minutes... More

Hotel Casa Mexicana is located in two colonial style buildings nearly opposite each other. In one building was the restaurant and some rooms and the opposite building consisted only of rooms around a garden patio, where was also our room. Our room was not near to the street and was on the level of the garden. It was very quiet... More

The location of the Casa Mexicana is great. It is located just a couple of blocks from the central plaza and you can hear the bells of the cathedral. Their Wi-Fi connections were one of the best that I was able to get in Mexico. There is no temperature controls in the room. The reflective surface of the mirror in... More

This hotel consists of two buildings: the main bldg. and the annex. They are opposite of each other across the street. The main bldg. is old and the rooms are very tiny. The bathrooms were from 60's, and seemingly were never renovated. It has old smelly carpets and tiny rooms. Most rooms have basically no windows where you can open... More

Hotel Casa Mexicana is a stylish hotel. It consists of two buildings on opposite sides of the street. We stayed in the annex, a nice building with rooms around a garden. Our room was luxurious, with an excellent bed and a good bathroom. The room was not large and there was little space for our bags. We had a room... More

We were staying here for 5 nights for a wedding and the hotel had been organised by the bride. When making the reservation we had asked for a nice room as it was my wife´s birthday. We were told that would be no problem. We were given a small room with no view and 1 window in the bathroom that... More

We only stayed one night as we had other plans. I called the day before, my broken Spanish was good enough but no one seemed to speak any English. But why should they, we saw hardly any other Americans, they watch too much TV and don't travel to real Mexico. Fine with me , too bad for the tourism industry.... More
