Pros 1. A well kept and well decorated 2 story property with a Spanish Colonial feel. 2. On a clean and quiet street 3. A beautiful Open courtyard garden where you can relax, read, or work at patio tables. 4. Electrical outlets everywhere so you can plug in your laptop. No need to hang out in your room. 4. Good... This is a lovely little hotel with a gorgeous bathroom and courtyard. It's clean and chic. The room has a tv, and the hotel has a pretty courtyard garden, though I wish that some of the garden could be given over to a nice little heated pool. The location is pretty good, in that it's only a couple of streets... More

We really liked this hotel it had a nice private courtyard surrounded by two levels of tile rooved rooms. Off street parking was extremely handy as was location of hotel for walking to centre of town. We never ate in the restaurant during our three night stay. We didn't need heating or cooling but no option for either in rooms... More

We have stayed at Hotel Parador Margarita a few times over the years and have always had a very positive experience. A previous reviewer, Daniel, had concerns about the safety of the hotel. First of all, the hotel is made of adobe, not wood, so it's not going to burn easily. Also, most older places in San Cristobal have open... More

This place is generally clean, nice staff and pretty. But>> MAJOR problem is there are NO EMERGENCY EXITS DESPITE FAKE EVACUATION SIGNS! They lock the exit at night and you CANNOT GET OUT without first going to the desk and asking the receptionist to let you out!!! EVEN IF THERE IS A FIRE OR OTHER EMERGENCY!!! I noticed this because... More

Nice and cozy little hotel. Very clean. It is located about three blocks away from downtown which makes it quite but close to stores and cafes. Rooms are spacious (we are a family of four). Breakfast is offered so we were ready to go every morning.

In San Cristobal, for a decent night's sleep, you must not stay too near the central plaza. Parador Margarita was a good value and nicely situated in the Historic Centro with access to all areas of the city, and on a quieter street. We were able to walk to the Mercado and sites. A note about San Cristobal de las... More

This is a great little place to stay. It is reasonably priced and close to the zocolo. We had breakfast here three days the food was well prepared and delicious. The rooms are good sized the shower has plenty of hot water. It was cold while we were here and we asked for a portable heater for our room, which... More

We were searching for another hotel to stay in after returning to SC from Ocosingo. We tried booking this place via the net but the booking failed, so we walked over and talked with the evening staff who offered a king room for 880 pesos, about $62. We took it. The price listed on booking.com and on their price board... More

The place was just what we were looking for: a clean, quiet, comfortable, (pretty) and very central accommodation. The bedrooms have everything we needed. We were very impressed by the kindness of a young guy who helped us park the car in the garage. The small café/bar is very nice and has good prices (compared to some central restaurants)
